When they first met in March of this year, Lesther "El Negrito Explosivo" Espino scored a minor upset via TKO3 over southpaw Israel "El Destructor" López. Espino came into that contest with a 7-5 record, and López had a slightly more prestigious 11-5-1 mark and was coming off an unsuccessful challenge of Fabián Andrés Maidana for the WBC Latino welterweight title - deeper waters than Espino had swam in.

 

Just an absolute free-for-all slug-fest.

 

There are still four or five bouts on the BoxRec page for this card that have not happened yet - of course, that could include some cancelations, or at least one being held for a swing/walkout bout. Hard to say. It's quarter of nine local time in Managua, so the main event could be next but it'd definitely be on the pretty early side.

 

Tarjeta BDP favored the work of "Explosive Little Black Boy" in the first two rounds. López started to whip in some good body shots in the third.

 

Wow! López complained of behind the head shots. Ref wasn't very sympathetic. López apparently wouldn't drop the issue and didn't want to continue, so they started yanking both combatants' gloves off.

History repeats! Espino by third round stoppage again! (RTD3 this time)

 

Félix Pedro Alvarado Sánchez vs. Tobías Jeremías Reyes, 10 rounds @ featherweight

 

Round 1

Alvarado is popping jabs at Reyes. Body jab by Reyes. Hard step-in jab by Alvarado. Whipping body hook by Reyes. Both scoring hard jabs as Alvarado pressures Reyes into the corner.

10-9 Alvarado

 

Round 2

Alvarado is whipping in hooks on the face with both hands stepping in tall. Reyes digging with shallow uppercuts on the abdomen meeting Alvarado when he rushes in. Alvarado now with double left hooks climbing up Reyes' starboard flank. Straight rights mixed in by Alvarado as well. Reyes with some stiff jabs on the chin.
