Alvarado willing to walk through several punches to punch a hole through Reyes' midsection with his right hand. Alvarado working combos off the jab walking forward; Reyes flurrying on the backfoot.

Weird, as it's definitely no longer an IBF flyweight eliminator - and even when it was, it was listed on BoxRec as being ten rounds.

Alvarado is relentlessly jabbing in on Reyes, then letting both hands fly. Alvarado is exhausted and pushing arm punches, but still the aggressor. Reyes for his part is now carrying both gloves up to protect his face and unloading in compact bursts after spells of defense. Nice uppercut by Reyes. Alvarado just lurching forward after him.

Alvarado is zapping Reyes with the right hand from long range. Reyes can't get out of the way, even with an extra kick of speed. Alvarado with rights on the temple and hooks with both hands on the six-pack when Reyes sits on the ropes and puts up his shield. Reyes turns his back on Alvarado to paw some blood from his nose after evading him on the ropes and scooting out to ring center. Reyes being pursued all over the ring now. Alvarado bowling in jabs and rights on the body. Reyes staggering from blocked shots, his legs almost gone. Alvarado looking for one more big KO shot with ten seconds left. Reyes able to run out the clock.

I could see maybe shifting a few rounds to get the pair of cards that had Alvarado up 115-113, but the draw was too generous for Pitbull. He spent a good chunk of the night boxing moving backwards, and that just isn't his game.

 

Wth? BoxRec now lists the bout as being a 12-rounder (it said ten until just moments ago)...plus they have both men officially making flyweight? Reyes 111½ and Alvarado 112?

 

A lot of people on Twitter had it close but clear for Alvarado. The people in the comments of the Gemelo stream on Facebook had it wider for him and were ripping into Reyes, calling him a runner.
