Not that it makes a difference, but Yarde could make 205 easy

miller is effective at his level
    he is top 10
he is a 1 dimensional style of fighting

he plods after you/uses his weight and size and heavy handiness to wear his oppoennts down

his defense is to stand in front /use a double arm guard and wait until his opponent stops punching.
he looks to have a very good chin but he has faced
washington / wach / adamek / etc / no one who punches with any snap or power

but he is very fit doing what he does
he does let his hands go
is a natural born fighter who i believe will have to be taken out on his shield to beat him/ has a will to win and winning mentality that often trumps talent .

his offense is just to try and get close and let his hands go
    he does use variety /
    body/left and right hooks
    uppercuts

he puts little on them and they are slow unless he thinks he has an opponent hurt then he winds up with more power and a little more speed.

    technically he is sound

but the overall package relies on heart and will to win and v joshua an iron cast chin to absorb the punches that will land time and time again/hope to ride out the storm /let joshua burn himself out and then come on strong.

but joshua as of late has been much more patient / boxed relaxed v povetkin and never looked like gassing despite povetkin setting a high pace and having way more explosivness and speed than miller.

more danger imo is if joshua hurts miller early / miller has good recuperation powers and joshua throws way to many bombs in the opening 4 rounds and knackers himself

if joshua jabs and potshots and throws occasional combo while staying relaxed miller is going to get peppered and kod.

Miller is facing a better level of competition than Wilder did before he got his title shot. Infact Miller has already beaten people Wilder chose to take on as a world champion. Im not hating on Wilder im just pointing out that when people say hes fought nobody, hes fought contenders to a world title. And now hes taking on the champion.

There's some BS being banged about around this fight at the moment. Whyte IS more deserving of a shot but, guess what? He's been given an opportunity and turned it down. I understand his reason for turning down the fight to a degree but, he was a voluntary challenger and he was always going to come a distant second to what AJ was going to get at the negotiating table.

Out of the rest of the top 10, Miller is as deserving as anyone else. Povetkin has already had his shot, so has Breazeale, Ortiz and Parker. Wilder and Fury are tied up for anything up to another 12 months so that leaves Miller. As an American debut opponent he's by far the best option. Miller would crush the likes of Jennings and Trevor Bryan. Kownacky's commercial value is very limited as is Ortiz and Ortiz has only replied to AJ's challenge now that the fight with Miller is virtually done. Care to throw up any other options and I'm all ears.

Ortiz Ortiz Ortiz lol. After wilder fury and White have all ducked aj Miller is the next best fight they could make and it's an interesting fight. This idea that everybody but the top 3 are bums is ridiculous. And look at the problems actual bum fighters have caused wilder and fury in the past. It's a good match up.

Miller is perfect for Joshua on the face of it, possibly has a granite chin which could get him to the cards and he has a punchers chance otherwise. Joshua will fight him exactly same way he did Parker, long and cautious.

I have no idea whether Miller will prove a worthy challenger or not, but he is somehow responsible for this thread's title which I thought was one of the best I've seen in years. For that, I say give him a round of applause.

Whyte was a nobody at that time. You mean to tell me Joshua beating Whyte was grounds for a title shot?

I'm just hoping AJ u-turns on this to save credibility that he started to build with Parker.

I think the current version of AJ will handle Miller without much issue. I actually prefer the previous, more aggressive version against Wilder, but who knows if that fight ever will happen.
