how would that have changed the heavyweight landscape? Who would’ve been his next challenger? Had he been champion against Louis and still had his confidence would that fight have went any differently?

So should we assume that he wouldn't have had hand issues?

That was a terrible fight. Braddock really clowned him for most of the fight.

Baer clowned himself, Braddock didn't look much better in that fight.

Louis would still beat him, mid round stoppage, the only difference is we wouldn't have Braddock's inspiring story

He'd lose by osmosis. He is not the type to make very many title defenses. He would lose sometime within 3 fights. And insert any name as the winner.

Schmeling beats Baer in a rematch and beats Braddock in his first defense

Baer would likely either fight schmeling or Louis next, I think he would beat schmeling again but would still get stopped by Louis

If Baer never lost his early focus, he could have beaten Louis, destroyed his confidence and been the long reigning Champ he should have been
