KOTF.... I take yer point if the Mayorga fight is a yardstick but Shane ai'nt a weight blown/booze/all yer can eat buffet savage as Roberto became & Floyd ai'nt the leg-it merchant that Leonard was that night. I see the ooooooohhhhh's & arrrrrrrgggggggghhhh's coming a plenty from the commentary at some Floyd counters but i still think/hope that Shane still has the energy/powerpack to sweep the early rounds so forcing Floyd out of his comfort zone in the 2nd half of the fight & if Shane still has the gas then we'll see the last 4 rounds as a toe 2 toe job, lets hope so!!!!

It's not that funny. I had it even (and so did Larry Merchant, actually). Forrest spent most of the time clinching on repeat.

This is the key stylistic reason Shane cannot win this fight IMO.

Some people are saying Floyd will have to 'show something new' to beat Shane, when in fact it's Mosley who has to show he can punch without stopping to plant his feet in order to make this anything other than a pot shotting whitewash.

I wouldn't put any money on this outcome but I'm going to pick Mosley. I think Mosley is going to employ De La hoya's strategy of coming in behind a jab and attempt to work Floyd to the body on the ropes. When Mosley gets inside he needs to be very rough and very busy and I think he's capable of this. Mosley needs to have a "win or go out on his shield mentality". Oscar didn't. He backed off a little and tried to complain about the decision at the end. I think Mosley will. I think he can force a war that Floyd never likes to fight. Mosley by close decision.

    Wow, your comebacks are unbelievable!

If you don't think Mosley's rematches with Forrest and Wright were close than I ask you this... did you really see these fights?

I didn't say that I thought Mosley was robbed in these fights. I just said that they could have went either way. Do you really think that most people would feel that Forrest and Wright got robbed had Mosley got the decision in these rematches? I don't. Same goes for the Cotto fight.

On the other hand you can say the same for DeLaHoya and Castillo x2 vs. Mayweather.

No real robberies... but close fights.

Now get the **** back in the closet!:bbb

Charles badly outclassed and busted up Louis. I think Mosley vs. Mayweather is going to be somewhat competitive. Mosely will have his share of moments, but in the end I see Mayweather winning say 8 of 12 rounds.

Poor choice of words. I scored 5 rounds for Louis in that fight. Louis busted Charles face up horribly. Take a look at pictures.

The reason I say Charles / Louis is because even though I felt many rounds were close, almost all were edged to Charles ... Louis did inflict damage which can be seen by Charles' puffed up face but most of the bout Louis was a step slower and simply couldn't pull the trigger ...

I expect Mayweather to win though I think it will be competitive.

If on the other hand Mosley does win then it is a super legacy creating win.
