That was a HORRIBLE decision, period. I had it 118-111, Lara. I do respect Paul Williams for his willingness to engage and fight until the very end. He is a warrior. I can't say that I have read anyone's post saying anything contrary to that. What I blame Paul Williams for, is not being a man and admitting that he lost and lost CLEARLY!!! He had the nerve, along with his awful trainer, to claim victory. Terrible stuff. For that alone, I do not like Mr. Williams anymore. I know he won't lose any sleep over me not liking him anymore, but I am simply stating how I feel. I have followed Williams' career for years and have always been a fan. Lara proved that he is a great up and coming talent in the sport of boxing and I wish him well. As for Paul, he doesn't deserve a big fight of any kind. He needs to fight Lara again, which likely won't happen or retire! In reality, the fight was so dominant that there is no need for a rematch. Since it was a screwjob, I'd like to see Paul get his ass handed to him again, only this time WORSE!
Bundrage punches like Truck. Glass Jaw might be wrong word but his chin is not the same what it used to be.
I can blame him for saying he felt he deserved the decision in what was a 'close' fight. For those whining about boxers making excuses what can be worse that a boxer accepting a gift decision? It is the ultimate slap to the opponent and the fans. Acceptable responses are things like, "That's how the judges saw it." I'll have to watch it a few times..." ANYTHING other than dis his opponent and fans like that. Bad, bad move if you ask me. Now no one will want to fight him knowing they can't win a decision. Yeah, throw in the score from the first Martinez fight and Paul has stink all around him and yes, we can blame him for that. He has chosen his associates, promoters, etc.... Now we know the truth about why he is the most feared man in boxing. :deal
The older I get the more I find the 'birds of a feather' thing holds truth. Paul may be a little limited in terms of who he could have as a promoter and manager but he is willing to make that trade for his career.
Friendly warning. Throwing around the term 'glass jaw' on ESB puts you squarely in the company of the worst, most idiotic posters to be found anywhere. Just saying, please don't use that term lightly around here or you will end up on lots of ignore lists as belonging to a group here that is so proud of their stupidity the actually work at it. :good
PW was in a fight where he landed shots so why would he admit defeat or talk how you think he should talk? You may have thought he was dominated, but he didn't. Fighters readily admit most of the time the other guy was better if it happened that way. The rest of what you said didn't even make sense, no offense.
It's posters like you who either have uunderlying personal problems with other posters here, or just get mad when their opinion is confronted smdh.
So, you lack of reading skills means I have personal problems? :rofl Let me put it very simply for you. Nah. I ain't gonna bother. I don't know if I can dumb it down enough.
