    This is Lampley's situation:

    ===============================================================

    On January 3, 2007, Lampley was arrested for domestic abuse against fiancée Candice Sanders, Miss California USA 2003, by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.[7] A restraining order was obtained, but in February 2007, he was charged with violating the restraining order by being within 100 yards of her apartment; Lampley pleaded no contest and was sentenced to three years' probation, a fine, a domestic violence counselling program and 40 hours' community service. The DA's office investigated and

    . Investigators found "insufficient evidence to prove it".[8]

    Former spouse and news anchor Bree Walker said her relationship with Lampley led her to believe that "he's not capable of physical violence against anybody." "Jim has been a wonderful father to all four of his kids, and has been a generous husband and ex-husband", Walker said, "Any charges of battery would surprise me."[9]

    ==============================================================

    Now he wasn't convicted of beating his wife, he was convicted of violating a restraining order. For all we know his fiancé could have made this entire thing up, we don't know because he was NEVER CHARGED. Anyone of us could be accused of wife beating, **** assault or whatever crime you care to mention, that doesn't mean we did the crime.

    Mayweather's situation is as follows:

    On June 1, 2012, Mayweather reported to the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas to serve his 87-day jail term for domestic abuse. After serving two months, he was released from prison August 3.

    DO YOU SMART PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING ACCUSED OF A CIRIME AND BEING CONVICTED OF ONE?

    Seriously, just leave it alone, man. The amount of hoops you're jumping through just to keep up this 'Floyd-is-worse-than-everybody' charade is sad.

    And speaking of hoops, the NBA let that Marv Albert thing (convicted of assaulting a woman) cool off for a year or two before bringing him right back to be the voice of their Finals.

    But, whatever.

    its weird because for all the dirt you people try and throw on him....he is STILL widely regarded as the best today and one of the best this era/generation.

    Every fighter you say he ducked....he still would have been the favortie in every fight

    Highest paid athlete by far highest paid Boxer

    Been P4P#1 for damn near a decade...ranked P4P for over a decade

    Multiple divisions and tittles

    Regarded as an ATG

    Top 3 ALL Time at 130 arguably the GOAT

    OH and 44-0!

    It can go on......how anyone honestly can knock this man's career is beyond me....nobody is calling him THE GOAT...but i'd got damn if this aint a hell of a career and a accomplished one at that....not a boxer today who wouldn't take the same path he has if given the option.

    1. how do you know that? evidence? since when does anyone "pressure" floyd mayweather, since when did he not call the shots, and since when was he not boxing's perennial cash cow?

    2. he's also one of the world's richest athletes, period, and by far the most well paid event by event.

    3. what? so? he's still got boxing's most powerful man, al haymon, firmly in his corner, and a stable of fighters under his "fake" promo company.

    4. whether he is only making 6 million dollars compared to pacquiao, he's still making far more money than others. that point stands. not to mention, he's still making more pacquiao, even with heavier taxes to deal with. ultimately, though, what's your point?

    5. ...:tired sure man. whatever you say.

    I'm done with it too. And the whole point of the discussion centered around endorsements, nothing else.
