James Kirkland, I picked him to win. Why did I do this? Well he has skill, heart, determination, magnificent punching power, and a great trainer. As I said before, Angulo is and will always be a punk with a punch. Does not matter who is in his corner. Stop hating on James Kirkland, allow me to explain what happened. The dumb ass went to jail, then got out. He got in with two no named opponents and blew them out. Then as I predicted(not in such a fashion) Ishida beat him, badly. He joined back up with Wolfe, who did two important things, cared about him, and actually trained him. She gave him a chin by throwing him in there with bangers, toughening him back up. So then Angulo hits him, with no headgear, shell shocked he goes down, because he still had no true chin, and this fight helped improve it tremendously. I still think he should stay very busy, and keep building his chin, and not against the top 10's, keep in mind that this was his 6th fight of the year. And he has had 15 rounds? plus a lot of sparring. That's not enough though. Needs to keep building back up, he squares too much and needs to keep working on his skill. If you truly like boxing then you like kirkland, I love boxing, not just competition but as a fan I admire the top tier fighters, and Kirkland is a favorite of mine. So all the haters.......take it somewhere else, because Kirkland is the best type of fighter for boxing. Later.

i read your post. i think he's pretty good, but his weak chin will always dog him. there's only so much he can do to improve his chin. best thing for him to do is build his defense - work on rolling punches, et cetera. but that's not his style, so he's gonna get dropped a lot more.
That's probably what he's working on, I agree, and I'm not saying that he's the man, just that hes magnificent FOR boxing.
