Why? 1. It was NOT a clear victory. Not saying anyone was robbed, just saying it could easily have been scored a draw or even a Ghost win. 2. It was an exciting fight...that almost always results in a rematch.
Garcia has to avenge every win, don't you know that? Sure Garcia beat Guerrero convincingly, clearly -- but Guerrero also landed a few punches and... and... uh according to this forum if a fight is even remotely competitive (and Garcia is involved) then he robbed his opponent. Grow up, man, you're acting like a crazy person.
No one said robbed drama queen. Look at the history of the sport. Close fights, many times, result in rematches. It has to do with $$ more than someone being robbed. Garcia gets criticism because he has never rematched anyone who gave him a good fight. Oh but I bet you had no problem with him rematching old a$$ Morales though, right? Who he actually did beat convincingly. Stay ignorant though.
I don't think Robert wants a rematch after the beating he got yesterday. Yes he did well the first half winning majority of the rounds but this might be the last time we see a normal acting Robert.
not necessary in fact Garcia was 1 and Khan was 2 and Ghost was only 6 this fight in a perfect world would not have occurred and the WBC would have forced Khan vs Garcia 2 if Khan declined they should have lined up the 3 or 4 Guerrero won 5 rounds so what? The division is ready to explode with a bunch of young guys in 50/50 fights battling for the division as the 2 stars disappear
Because Morales was the biggest name in his young career up to that point? And it was a million dollar payday. or.... according to this: http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/8530432/danny-garcia-sends-erik-morales-reeling-retirement Morales had a rematch clause from the first fight. Quote from the article:
Good post. Garcia should get a voluntary early summer, then fight Khan or unify with Thurman/Porter in the fall.:good
