Let me start off by saying, I really, really wanted to like Golovkin...

    And let me start off here by saying that I am an African-American... as black as they come, Mother from Harlem, father from Ghana. And I think GGG is a charismatic, excellent boxer. I was the first in my circle to hype him up, after the Proska fight, I was truly impressed with his skills and power. I said right there, "that's a Hall-of-Famer" and when it's all said and done, I still believe he will be there.

    But....

    ...I truly can't stand the guy's fans, or his lying trainer. I though Pac****s were the worst possible thing in the boxing community, until the Golovk*nts got started; that's probably because so many of them moved over after 5/5/15.

    These stupid, idiotic, nonsensical, racist, half-brained, teenagers who just started watching boxing last year are an embarrassment.

    GGG vs Joe Louis
    GGGG vs Muhammad ALi
    GGG vs Rocky Marciano

    Don't you clowns have MMA threads to sign up on, please, get lost.

    So, to sum it up, I truly like GGG, seems like a nice guy and a good sportsman, but I am hoping he will get cold****ed on Sat (but don't think it will happen) just so we can get back to real topics once again, like I thought would happen after " the fight of the century."

    No matter, the Golovk*nts would just become Kovalubes, if they aren't already, and we'd start all over again.

    Bull. You never liked Golovkin and never will.
    It's not about who he beats up, it's not about who his fans are and if some are going overboard, because that happens with almost any top level fighter. It's about you not liking him for any reason.
    Either it's because he's Asian, or because he has some Russian roots. Or it's because he's more popular as or (would) beat up your favorite fighter.... whatever is the case, nothing Golovkin does himself will make you like him. I remember you being anti GGG as long as his popularity started to rise.

    First of all, you like a fighter for his skill and determination, amongst other reasons. I don't quite understand why you have to announce what race you are, and why it matters. Let me say that I am Jewish/German and I am a fan of Tim Bradley. Who cares?

    Secondly, this accusation of his trainer lying is ridiculous and I've heard it quite frequently from Ward fans, who don't actually know what occurred, and how if they really want to accuse anyone of lying or ducking, it would be Ward.

    I am doing neither, but just attempting to be objective.

    What does that even mean? You live in the real world so you have to announce what race you are?

    And yet, if I or anyone else were to cheer primarily for our particular race, as long as we're white it would be seen as bias or bigoted right? Of course it would.

    Regardless, the fact that a black person likes a boxer who is Asian/Russian shouldn't be breaking news.

    James Toney and Bernard Hopkins are two of my all-time favs, but I'm a Jew so...hmmm maybe I live in fantasy land.
