lol it took Garcia 2 fights to finally knock out a shot to **** morales the guy has no power compared to Pac Thurman vs Garcia is a very good fight I will be watching for sure but Pac vs Khan is on anther level
What does that have to do with anything? We are talking about a unification match up of two prime undefeated fighters here something that we rarely get and you're going on about it took Garcia 2 tries to knock out EM??? WTF? I guess if Pac doesn't stop Khan faster than Garcia did, then Pac by your own logic has no power right?
This is extremely subjective, I'm not sure if you're trolling or if you truly feel the Garcia vs Thurman fight has dramatically less future implications. I agree Pac is one of a kind and a future all time great but does that mean other fighters should just hang up their gloves because they may not reach his level of success/accolades. You sound ridiculous
Very true. Pac / Khan is fun, but both are basically done. So one winning or the other won't affect the future of the WW division much. Thurman / Garcia is the complete opposite. It could be for the future dominant champ at WW, Pac is old, Khan is done, Brook and Spence could easily move up soon. Bradley and Porter are still around but the Thurman/Garcia winner would be favoured against either.
I wouldn't argue that Pac vs Khan will do more numbers however putting this in current proper WW hierachy perspective Thurman vs Garcia is more significant.
In all honesty I don't know if I'd favor watching the Garcia/Thurman winner against the Pac/Khan victor over the Brook/Spence. Its a toss up for me though if Pac wins and Garcia wins that fight is almost written in stone.
Exactly. Actually we had the same debate here between a popular fight (Canelo-Chavez Jr) or a meeting of two of the best in their divisions (GGG - Jacobs), and if my memory serves me correctly I believe boxing_master was arguing the other way that time, due to the absence of his beloved Pacquaio.
Actually I'd rather the Thurman / Garcia winner fought the Brook / Spence winner for the clear #1 at WW. Pacquaio's had a great career, but IMO he's more or less done now, he's not looking to enhance his resume seriously any more.
Oh no doubt, I wouldnt rule it out though since Garcia/Thurman/Brook/Spence would all jump at the opportunity to fight a seemingly vulnerable (still very dangerous) cash cow like Pac.
