It seems to be quite a fair offer

No surprise this annoying punk gave 9 rds to Mayweather. He doesn't know enough about the sport to be able to competently score a fight.

Last Floyd PPV I actually bought. The under-card was absolutely dreadful, filled with no names and Rocky Juarez fighting some tomato can. I scored the fight 8-4/7-5 for Floyd, extremely boring fight for the hype.

It didn't live up to its hype, for sure, but this gets incorrectly remembered as some awfully boring, tedious affair. It really wasn't that bad, if you strip away the context of disappointment proportionate to its press.

I mean, FFS, compare it with "Battle for Greatness" - oi vei! :shakehead: The World Awaits is a waaay better fight and was much less disappointing.

The De La Hoya who fought Tito would beat any version of Floyd at 147 imo, and I can't stand that ballerina anymore.

What would be your excuse if Floyd beat ??? at 154?? Would you give credit, or do the same **** you're doing now?

    - Props to Mayweather for facing Oscar at 154
    - Oscar was completely past prime by 2007 unfortunately
    - I slightly favour prime Oscar over prime PBF on that particular H2H matchup
    - Oscar was still ok, not quite mediocre, by this stage of his career, so it's a good win considering it was at 154, but unfortunately no way near a great win
    - Prime Oscar had a reputation of gassing out, the effect of Oscar being this past prime made this factor even more significant for this fight. It wasn't about Floyd 'adjusting'.

Maybe, but that excuse get used a lot when it comes to Floyd.. His opponents gas after 2 rounds, or they stopped using the punch that worked, or they something else if that nature.. Floyd adjusting is something people need to look into...

I never heard anyone say the other opponents gas out against Floyd but it is NOTABLY the case with Oscar. Oscar the old fighter with stamina problems, faded.

Like a said, that could definitely be the case.. People said that Mosley, Oscar, and Judah gassed out.. They say Canelo was so drained, he couldn't even throw a punch, though he wasn't in the fight at all anyway.. It's never Floyd took away that punch or Floyd made it harder to land that punch again.. Which could also be the case...

That's called doing what it takes to get the fight you want made. You fight the cash cow on his terms, he even went up in weight. PBF didn't like it but he realized that's how the sport works you have to make concessions when you're the B-side.

Mosley didn't have an engine in the first place by 2010. He was a prehistoric artefact from the neolithic period.

I believe Floyd is good at making adjustments, but he didn't against past prime Oscar.

Judah didn't gas IMO. Canelo does gas out but that would've made no difference whatsoever to the outcome of the fight

The fight was good, Oscar started good with some hard punches and a good jab, but started to slow down and Mayweather started counterpunching after the lazy attacks of The Golden Boy, by the second half, Mayweather was in control until the last round that was close.

I had it 9-3 Mayweather, Oscar did good early and i give him the last round, i can see why someone can have it closer, not enough to give the win to Oscar though.
