Froch actually has an argument to being the champion at 168lbs. He has the majority of the belts, and he is a huge draw/cash-cow. Ward has to really fight through a couple guys before he gets a shot at Froch again.
Not really a unified champ, is he. That WBA title isn't the main world title any more. It's as good as being an interim belt ever since the Super WBA -- which Ward holds -- came into existence. Ward is the only real unified champ of the division (Ring Magazine and Super WBA holder). He doesn't have that many options. All he has is, what, a third fight with Kessler? And a Groves who won't be matched with him until at least another two or so fights? Hearn has already said he has no interest in going up to 175. And :rofl at the thought of Calzaghe coming back. So yeah, Ward doesn't have to earn anything to face a guy who he's already schooled.
If Froch wants to be considered No.1 in the division, then he HAS to fight Ward. If Froch wants to avenge his onlu unavenged defeat, the he HAS to fight Ward. In terms of boxing legacy, its Froch that needs Ward. If I was Froch Id be pestering Hearn around to clock to pick up that phone and offer Ward a kings ransom to come to England and fight him. Does Hearn really want to pick up that phone though and throw Froch in with Ward in front of his home fans?? Thats the real question....
Froch has the belts too. Froch has more aspects of a champion then Ward does. Makes a lot of money? Check. Has belts? Check.
He has only one belt that's worth talking about - the IBF. That regular WBA title is worthless as long as the Super WBA exists - which, again I need to remind you, is in the possession of Andre Ward. Here, I'll list the champions for you: RING: Ward WBA: Ward IBF: Froch WBO: Stieglitz WBC: [vacant] (Ward x2, Froch x1, and Stieglitz x1) So, your belief that "Froch has more aspects of a champion then Ward does", is wrong.
Froch has the IBF and regular WBA belt, Ward has only the Super WBA belt. Froch is better than Ward in terms of belts. Froch also makes more money than Ward. 3 aspects of a champion: Money Belts Skill level Froch has more money and more belts Ward has more skill Froch is more of a champion than Ward. Froch>Ward.
Ward is the daddie of the division, froch can have as many bull**** belts as he wants, he's no world champion, he's just an alphabet titlist who failed his biggest test. He's a good 2nd but he ain't no 1st as long as SOG's around and if he wants revenge then he should go back to Wards backyard and get his arse handed to him again just in case he forgot the last lesson handed out to him.
I get it. You're a troll. Thanks for letting me know so I don't bother wasting any more time with you.
Goddamn, you're a ****in' idiot. SMH. Yes The Man of the division has to "earn" a shot against a fighter he already took to school. Kill yourself.
