In the current climate I admired both Whyte and Parker for taking that fight on short notice.I'm not the big Joshua fan that I once was due to his A side is and 're his rematch with Whyte I'd be worried for Joshua taking on Whyte before Wilder as there is a chance Whyte could pull it off imo.
Yes my estimation of Whyte took a hit after those Chisora fights, fully expected him to win easy in the rematch but he actually made Chisora good. That said and I know this may seem crazy, given styles make fights n all that I'd be worried for Joshua in rematch before Wilder as History tells us guys like Lennox,Wlad and imo Joshua can get knocked out cold by a lesser fighter that has power like Whyte and if Whyte gets under his skin like before and he forgoes his new boring style I could totally see Whyte winning by KO.
yep as it's a huge fight in the UK,trust me on this Hearn and Joshua don't want Whyte before Wilder. When asked in the ring AJs response was to ask the crowd if they wanted it?not once did he say I want that fight and Whyte deserves his shot as is the truth of it. Baby junkie Miller had been set up for a long time and I never thought id say this of Joshua but that was the cherry pick they wanted. Wilder is just as bad for having Breazele as mandatory when it should be Whyte and in any case Whites team have tried getting round this by offering millions and still they decline him. not sure what else Whyte has to do save maybe a fight with Ortiz.
Sorry but watching whyte fight, he does look new to boxing. In fact all of them does. Usyk and Povetkin looks natural, and the last great hw’s With skills is wlad and Lewis. Whyte vs Chisora was laughable, both swinging wildly and arm punching. Whyte is lucky he has natural gifts in the ring. Whyte looks like he’s just picked up boxing, reminds me of guys who’s only been boxing a few years in the gym and the movements don’t look completely natural yet. Ortiz maybe old and slow but he looks like a guy who’s perfect his craft. As does Povetkin. Dillian hasn’t lost in a while because he hasn’t fought a decent fighter in a while.
If Parker vs Whyte happens again, or if it happened anywhere where Whyte would have been hit up for his consistent dodgy fighting then Whyte would likely have just been another win on Parker's resume. If the tables were turned and Parker fought like Whyte did on that day then every chance the ref would have called it a stoppage in the last round or deducted points if he kept doing things. I do feel like Parker could have done more to foil Whyte's dodgy tactics himself, and Whyte kept getting away with it so you can't really knock him too much for carrying on - but that fight should not have been allowed to go the way it did.
I agree. Whyte was allowed to use rugby and wrestling style. Whyte's trainer Mark Tibbs was very shrewd with it by talking about "roughing and toughing" a lot in the pre-fight build-up he already conditioned everyone to accept it as legitimate fighting, and somehow they escaped points deductions.
Re Whyte-Parker A UK show with a UK crowd Not gonna deduct too many points off their boy..... Happens everywhere
Drug ban? Check Turned down a title shot against AJ? Check Walked away from IBF mando fight? Check Gift against Chisora in first fight? Check Inflated enough opinion of himself that despite never having a world title shot that he should be on PPV? Check Says no one knows who Usyk is so won't fight him and then signs to fight...Rivas? Check OK I'm half teasing. He's put a solid resume together now and has been in some exciting fights (as well as some absolute dross), plus his anti-AJ tirades are very enjoyable. I ain't hearing all this "wow he's a fearless warrior scared of no man and will fight absolutely anyone ever" nonsense though. Very few fighters are willing to fight anyone anywhere, he isn't one of them.
your not really getting how Wilder wins fights, it's through ability to wait for opportunities while using distance. No one has ever controlled Wilder from distance except the two guys same range or more. He cannot coast with tall fighters, and has yet to fight an actual heavy handed power puncher the first will be Breazeale ...this is a fact. Whyte did get a two way rematch clause ...if he lost he was offered 30% ...had he won he would have got 50% which generated at least 15 million . You don't know what your talking about here.
Whyte will beat Parker again and the excuses will be put to full stop. o If Parker didn't beat him then when Whyte was heavier then he should have been, he's not going to beat him down the line. Parker best performance was against Whyte who makes adjustments and was getting out boxed at least 7 rounds ....Whyte tired in the end bc he uses a great punch out out and Parker couldn't keep up . Whyte has variables that make him the favorite over Parker ...I listed all of them prior to that fight making it a clear pick.to take Whyte and should have been easy to see why. I seriously doubt Parker gets a title again....there's just to much competition , he has a shot vs Wilder/Breazeale...those types but no shot against Joshua and lines up good with Ruiz types ( I thought he lost that fight ) he's a good fighter , to p10 for now but unless he does something soon I don't see him sticking around after 2022.
For some reason I think he carried Chisora, he had him all over the shop in the first, then just took his time with him. He could've timed a left hook show closer before he did imo
