    Funny how Alvarez was seen as a credible threat to dethrone Mayweather and he basically gets clowned and toyed around with for 12 rounds. Mayweather then fights a guy regarded as a A-grade journeyman and survives by the breadth of a hair.

    Bcus Alvarez cloudnt/wouldn't pull the trigger and have a go at floyd, and became timid. Maidana on the other hand was not psychologically affected by mayweather and so carried on as he normally does, which is to go to war

    yeah it is impressive. he gave a HOF fighter who rarely knocks anyone out a tough fight for 4 or 5 rounds, then slowed down and Floyd controlled him after that and won a decision.
