Official Cotto dossier has been updated:

    Weight:
True weight unknown (refuses to disclose fight night weight). Weighs in under the light-middleweight limit. On record denying that he is a middleweight, despite holding the middleweight championship of the world. Data from his fights at 140 show an in-ring weight of 159. 30-day weigh-in of most recent fight was 169.

    Capabilities:
Can beat injured opponents, crippled opponents, weight-drained opponents, and Ricardo Mayorga. Cannot beat Austin Trout.

    Extrapolations:
Would most likely not last 12 against Alvarez. Would be seriously injured by GGG. Is a pretentious diva who lies about her weight.

Murray? Put your pipe down, bruh.

Nah, but I do agree with you. Sergio at his pinnacle FOTY form in 2010 would have done some work on 2014 Cotto. We will never know but that is my opinion.

No, Martinez was extremely overrated. To be honest, he was aided by a weak middleweight era.

This version of Cotto beats any version of Martinez. That hands-down defense sh!t might work on a plodder like Chavez Jr., but it doesn't work against Cotto.

I was watching those highlights they showed of this fight, and wouldn't know you it, every time Martinez fell it coincided with a Cotto punch landed on Sergio...strangest thing. Also, I never seen an "injured" guy as aggressive as Sergio, that's weird too, most (okay, all) injured guys try to avoid their opponents, not come after them.

Everyone mad, Roach Cotto humiliates and retires Martinez any day of the week, he's simply the better all around boxer.

He embarrassed Martinez so bad that Martinez retired boxing. If he was a true warrior like Cotto, he wouldn't let that phase him. Cotto over came the beating Margarito gave him and is now the MW champion of the world. The man has guts, respect to him.

Nah, you are absolutely crazy and DKSAB.

You have to watch the fight in slow motion, with a cold, not hot, ham on your head, and recite the Armenian national anthem, all while balancing a spherical booger on the tip of your fingernail. Only then, will you see that Martinez's knee's completely collapses and his knee-cap shot right out of it's socket. It was pretty damn brutal like the scene in South Park when Kyle gets Garrison's b&lls implanted into his knees to make him taller. It went exactly like that.

cotto gets no credit for taking a beating in the pacman fight and the margarito fight and coming back stronger than ever.

the man has had it beaten out of him at times, no credit no respect, not called a warrior.

cotto is one of the biggest warriors in the sport, and very talented.

    Pavlik was shot.

He lost to Murray, but had his personal judges score the fight for him.

Cotto is no bum, and any version gives Martinez fits.

Martinez took the Cotto fight because he thought he was a midget and damaged goods, he looked for the easy payday against what he thought was a small shot fighter, and got a beating.

If he was a true warrior he wouldn't have to drain everyone who gets in the ring with him, and prey on cripples. He if was a true warrior he'd tell Canelo to wait and defend the Middleweight title against Golovkin....but he won't because he's not a real warrior.

How did he know Martinez was crippled. Udidnt because most of the forum picked Martinez to beat cotto easy.
Catchweights happen all the time today, healed wasnt complaining came in as big as hopkins dids against kovalev. 182lbs think of that for a bit.
He's a Lww. and although I don't seem him fighting ggg he will fight Camelo prime stronger bigger younger, and looking beastly. And that's not a sign of. Disgrace

Ruslan over Matthysse Ban Bet how did that work out for you.:hi:

Cotto beat Martinez because he was crippled, and for no other reason, if Sergio had even half the mobility he had against Chavez, Cotto wouldn't have landed anything on him in the first round. You went out on a limb with your prediction and lucked out.....nothing more.

Give it up FFS, You're starting to embarrass yourself.

Cotto is legit, and his win over Geale is legit.

The reason you're crowing is because you picked Geale to win, and he got demolished.

Cotto is NOT a MW, he asked for the catchweight and Geale agreed.

Instead of Cotto fighting a man who is clearly bigger than him, maybe GGG could come down to 157, after all he's not a big MW ?
