Lets Assume Pavlik Cannot Hurt Williams Because He Has An ATG Chin.... Then What?

I give Williams an excellent chance in this fight. He needs to box from the outside and use his reach advantage. He has been known to engage a little too much in close quarters, and Pavlik will be waiting for it. P-Will
does not have a devastating punch, but he has a tremendous work rate,
and well...he can punish you through the course of the fight. My advice; dont test your chin with Pavlik.

Yes, assuming that Williams has the bestest chin that ever was, then Pavlik would be in a for a long night.

But his chin is not the bestest.
If he gets through the whole fight vs Pavlik or takes some right hands without flinching then he gets some ATG chin points. But he doesn't have those points at the moment.

 

But probably pretty accurate. Pavlik has proven punishing power. Taking lots of shots would do him harm. If not in a stoppage, probably long term.

I am strongly science oriented. You cannot have someone with Kelly's power punching someone in the head and NOT have an effect. Even if Pdub doesn't show the effects during the fight, they are still there somehow. We may not like to think about it, but it is what it is. Think of the posters whining about an 'early stoppage robbing us of a KO'. I've seen it posted.

I've never been thrilled about this fight because of the size difference.

seriously, i cannot envision any scenario where pavlik comes out on top against paul williams is just too good a boxer and has too much speed. pavlik will do well to survive until the final bell!

Paul looks like he could get snapped like a twig, but chinwise, he has not shown to be vulnerable. He could get hurt to the body though. Either way, if he gets hit a lot, he can break down. That's what Pavlik does, break down his opponents.

How do we really know how hard Paul hits at MW? He fought Winky, but Winky doesn't get knocked out. He starched Koll in one round, but he's a low-level MW.

Maybe Pavlik's chin will get dented by Paul? Pavlik has been down and stunned more than once. Accumulation of taking so many flush shots will catch up to you eventually. You never know!

 

Williams can have God's chin, he has a weak core. Body shots will fatalize him.
Williams defensive game is sloppy as hell also...lets not act like Williams is a boxing genius.

 

When I think this fight I envision Hearns Vs. Hagler
(In lesser quality of course, But WAR!)

IF Williams chin hold's up most expect it being a walk away win for Williams....
But that is also discrediting Pavlik's ability to box, I also take into account That tho Pavlik did look bad against Hopkins and was outboxed, That was against a 170lbs+ fighter... (Used to that weight)

Anyway, I can't wait for this one.

I was once teaching my son 'timing' in comedy. He had a friend over that was an easy target. He was taking a drink and I told my son that if you time it right, you can make someone squirt their drink out their nose. Of course I was saying this as the kid started to take a drink and he obliged quite nicely. Just an academic exercise though. We have already established that no one in the Pavlik Nation has a sense of humor. :yep But, with the right person this is an easy parlor trick to try at home. Just don't make someone waste a good whiskey. Give them wine or beer.....
