Williams has to move a lot in this fight, but I wonder if he won't set down on his punches because of it. He's been throwing with more force the last 4 fights, but he has had the bad habit of just flicking punches out there.

Boo has noted that his left is under rated. He is a natural lefty.

I believe one of the reasons they let Rubio fight go as long as they did was because they were working on the lead left-hook. It's a vicious punch.

if he can't hurt him to the head, he will hurt him with those sledgehammers to the body.

We were 'warned' before the Rubio fight that Pavlik would box more and they even worked the term 'yoga' into the dialog. Yet some idiots here point to how long Rubio lasted as a sign that Pavlik is 'past it'. :patsch

pav actually had taylor II hurt worse than it appeared in the later rounds (11th maybe??) with a hard body shot. pav said if the round went a little longer it would have been bad for taylor and even taylor said he was hurt by it. pav can go to the body, you are right my friend :good

when pavlik gets guys on the ropes and lands that right hook to the body, you know that **** hurts. he gets so much leverage on that punch. i can't see williams ribs holding up that well to many of those.

pavliks gonna have to walk him back and make him fight off his back foot all night. when he gets him on the ropes, big hooks to the body. i dont think PW will be able to hang that long with that going on.

yep. and the thing is...if you get anywhere near the ropes against pav you better have that left arm up covering the left side of your face unless you want it caved in by that right. this inevitably leaves you vulnerable for a body shot that you really can't do anything to defend. that is what happened to taylor in their second fight. you could see taylor sort of keel over and fall into pav right off the ropes and hold on for dear life. that **** hurts just thinking about it.

you are right man, shots to the face/head will wobble you and make you see stars but body shots ****ing hurt.
