No, he didn't just land a lucky shot. It was pre-empted and delivered by closing the gap and trapping Lennox against the ropes....Wlad would of been put through the ropes.

    Mercer would of ko'd Wlad.

He was a far more effective brawler than Peter and most importantly had the tank to fight for a full 12 rounds.

    Peters stamina was a disgrace.

Not bull****. Mercer fought on hell of a good fight against. I was not sure if Lewis would win after 12 rounds. I had Mercer ahead. The Mercer who fought Wlad was way over the hill. I just don't think Wlad could have taken the shot Lewis did. The old Mercer messed up Wlad face with the jab alone. If it would have been a prime Mercer Wlads face would have been cut up bad. Prime Mercer KO's Wlad around the 8th round.

Your right a prime Mercer was a lot better than Prime Peter. A prime Peter was able to floor Wlad 3 times. Wlad got saved by the bell that last Peter knock down. Had there been more time in that round Peter would have got the KO. Mercer would have put a beating on Wlad. Even the old Mercer messed Wlads paper skin face up.

Wlad loses to a prime Rahman. Vitali ducked the old Rahman. There was something about Rahman that scared the hell out of the Klitschkos. Wlad waited until he was in a wheelchair before he finally fought Rahman. Vitali retired just to avoid Rahman. It really made Vitali look like a coward.

Yeah I don't know what it is about the Klitschoks. There skin is thin and weak for some reason. Lewis said out of all his years of boxing he never seen anyone cut as easy as Vitali.

Ruskull is a known long time Wlad nuthugger so he thinks Wlad can never be beat or has ever been beat. Prime Mercer beats Wlad and you know it. Your giving Wlad way to much credit for these bums he has been fighting. He didn't react well to punches because he has a glass chin. Prime Mercer would slice Wlad's thin skin face up. Wlad just don't have the skin to beat top fighters. See what Happened to Vitali the one top fighter he fought in his career? Wlad has not faced anyone half has good as Lewis in his entire career. Lewis would KO wlad in one round. Even if Wlad could take Lewis's punches his skin would let him down just like Vitalis did.

Of course it was a lucky shot. Apart from that one punch Rahman's career accounts to a big zero. Every other time Rahman tried to step up to world level he failed, and miserably so. Bar a lucky shot he was always a nobody.

No such thing as a lucky shot. Every shot thrown has intent and it was already explained to you how he set up the shot.....He was also very, very unluckly against Tua and Maskaev.

Looks like his fight with Povektin has gone totally dead in the water and a press conference for Vit/Stirvene should of already happened.

    Dr.Ducker brothers strike again.

Mercer has no chance at beating any post 2007 version of Wladimir Klitschko. Wlad has an ATG jab, ATG punching abilities, ATG boxing skills, great sense of range, and is one of the biggest/athletic/strongest heavyweights of all time. Mercer has nothing to stand up to that.

Jeez Louise, man, what is it with you and the Klitschkos? Take it easy, yea?

Anyhoo, this is a good thread. I am not sure how an exact timeline would go, but the "revised" version of Wladimir handles just about everyone on Lennox's resume. Only tough fight would be Vitali, and I think that is a winnable fight for Wladimir. Tua has a puncher's chance, but I think Wladimir can keep him off/keep him at bay.

All this joshing about Rahman is just plain silliness. Rahman is not anything special nor has he shown any reason to make me believe he would beat Wladimir. Also, remember that he has a glass chin.
