Let's be honest about Mayweather's next fight

Valid point, there were people saying that... but in my opinion there are too few intelligent fans. Imo to be an intelligent fan, you need to not listen to the hype and really question things...that's it. Unfortunately too many guys get hard-ons when they read the comments fighters make. Example: Post fight Mosley complains about a loose tooth so suddenly he ducked Floyd, but Floyd pre fight Ortiz FLAT OUT says "Pac you're next" but somehow it's not called a duck.

 

Maidana is the lesser of two evils but both are bad fights. Fighting Lara at 154, GGG at 160 or 154, Kirkland at 154 would all be good fights.

 

OMG, I remember how full this board was with Floyd ducking or would never fight SSM, Cotto, Canelo . . etc threads. Then after he schools these guys they are shot, green, or never any good. However, Pac's trainer said that same SSM was to good for Pac. Cotto needed to come down to 147 (and that would have been a great fight) to fight Pac and Canelo was a 50-50 fight going in. Hell you still have "fans" on here saying that if they let Ricky fight his fight he would have won.

Floyd agreed in 2009 to fight Pac, Pac walked away.

everybody calling Bob to make the fight . . . bob forgets how to use the phone.

Floyd does a media blitz about wanting to fight Pac. Floyd calls Pac personally with an offer . . . Pac hangs up. fight was not a $40 mill for pac fight but it was no longer a 50-50 fight either . . . Pac made no attempt to bridge the gap.

Pac goes on a media Blitz wanting to fight Floyd. already announced that he was fighting a month before floyd, does not make floyd an offer andd announces a fight with Bradley. All the while Bob is saying floyd is not in the Picture.

I agree people listen to words but do not follow the actions.

Why do people think fighters like Maidana even have a chance against somebody like Mayweather? After all those W's they keep calling for the guy who has a slim punchers chance...weird.

IF Floyd is beaten on cards it will HAVE to be by somebody with an above average jab..at this stage it is (nearly )impossible for somebody with no jab to beat Mayweather.

 

I agree, I think Khan has enough skill to make it interesting. Khan has stumbled the most when he was not focused.

He made JMM look like a C level fighter. Every fighter he fights is a C level fighter after he beats them. I'll bet Canelo will knock JMM's ass out but he's a C level fighter. Every fighter gets up for a Mayweather fight, they are at their absolute best because they know Mayweather is the big ticket. Any fighter that gets ready for Mayweather will beat any fighter at top rank on that night.
