Whether Joe wins or loses, it will be against a waaaaay past his prime fighter. A fighter who was finished a few years ago and hasn't done ANYTHING remotely close to great since. There is no way a fighter of Roys talents, style and strength should fight Tito and NOT KO him. That tells the world how far gone Roy is. Simple. He couldn't put away Hanshaw or Prince Abboboooboo either and was beaten to a pulp by Glen Johnson, a guy he would've disgustingly battered in his prime.

I explained my Cotto comment was more tongue in cheek with regards to peoples predictions over him and Mayweather.

Pavlik on the other hand, HA, a total fraud, wait till Kessler does get hold of him.

Jones is essentially the same fighter but with more ring smarts, if you don't think Calzaghe has declined, you haven't seem him in his earlier day when Jones didn't want to know him.

Jones isn't as good as he used to be I accept that, but claiming he is a washed up has been is funny, and a clear intent on covering ones rear end when it goes pear shaped.

Ok so now you are saying "Jones is essentially the same fighter but with more ring smarts", that is about as intelligent as saying Jeff Lacy got robbed in his fight with Joe and should've been awarded the victory. Wow changing reality is FUN! Kelly Pavlik KO'd BHop last weekend too and Joe is next!

The man is despreately trying to bolster the value of a victory that hasn't even happened. Who knows if he'll win, it's not a sure bet. If he loses to a faded Jones, it proves two things. He would be destroyed in his prime. The second would be he was never anything special.

Its true, he is a lot more dangerous now, his speed is there, his power is there to a degree ( I'll admit in decline), but now, instead of taking risks and going all out, he is more tactical and cunning, a Calzaghe in decline beating Jones would rank as the best win this century in boxing.

Clazaghes win over Hopkins was great but there is no way you can tell me RJJ is the same fighter as he was a few years back.

If he puts on another Lacey type display, I am serious, America's golden boy, the darling of American sports disected in his own back yard by Britains Calzaghe, it would be huge.

Man from what he's shown in his last fights, Jones is SHOT.
If Jones beats Joe, THAT would be one for the ages.
His speed has somewhat declined, his power too, his killer instinct is gone, so are his reflexes. Cmon. Make a poll if you want to see what people think.
"Best win this CENTURY in boxing" for Calzaghe??? If believing that makes you happy, go ahead :blood

Jones was his old self in his last fight, I am suprised anyone could dispute that, plus with the motivation he currently has, a win against one of the all time greats, you don't think Jones will be the best hes ever been? absurd

Why would i make a poll to see Americans come on and vote anything negative towards Joe? if people weren't so biased I would.

Jones is the most dangerous fighter Joe can face, and it is by no means set in stone that Calzaghe wins, its a shame Jones didn't step up to Joe 10 yrs ago... though then people would say Jones is a more refined intelligent boxer to how he was then....

I'm just going to continue believing that you're not serious. Tarver's win wasn't even the best win this century and people believed then that Jones was the best fighter in the world. You're out of touch in American sports if you think that any fighter, let alone Jones, is the ''darling of American sports.' I don't even think his win over Tito was mentioned in most newspapers.

    1. He faced a blown out welterweight in Tito, who hadn't fought for 3 YEARS before that bout. Yeah, he was his old self vs Tito, the Light-Heavyweight

    2. I'm not American and I can assure you there are many Brit posters around here. But the question of the possible poll I wrote about would be "is Jones the same as before", nothing to do with Joe. I can't believe you're still claiming Jones is better than he was 5-6 years ago.

    3. Jones didn't step up to Joe???

    Not weird at all mate.

It's because of his fanatic fans.
