He shows no signs of wear and tear. Even if his legs do go sometime in the next few years, he'll still have his defensive shell and intelligence that will see him through every conceivable challenge.

What the **** are you Floyd haters gonna do? Atleast 4 more years of Money? Can you take it? Should you just take your own lives now?

Easily from what we saw last night. Even when he noticeably fades, he'll have enough skill to be competitive with your average 'champion' e.g. Guerrero, Ortiz, Khan type fighters. It will take a hall of famer/ATG to beat him or else an opponent with a big size advantage.

If Floyd remains motivated he can fight for 6-7 years easily. He surely can lose but he will be competitive against top fighters even at his 40's.

Why do you think his bank account reads zero? He lives for what his wealth is a modest home. Doesnt have any kids running around he has to pay child support for. Doesnt spend money on anything real exotic. Not exactly Evander Holyfield or Tyson is he?

As long as he stays at 147, he should have few problems. Interested to see Devon or Kell against him someday.

This, I seriously doubt he can continue fighting elite opponents till 40, maybe opposition of the Robert Guerrero though.

I'm surprised that any Floyd fan would want to see him fight past 40. He's still a great fighter (and the best, pound for pound in the world) but there's no guarantee that he'll be able to keep winning at that age. Very few fighters have been able to do it. Even Hopkins had to take losses along with his victories.

I think Mayweather is clearly past his prime (not as fast, and his movements aren't as sharp) and he's only going to deteriorate with age. One thing he still does (when he's comfortable in the ring) is lower his guard, tempting the opponent in, so that he can draw their shots and counter. He did it to Guerrero, too, and at numerous points he was also twisting/swaying away from shots with his hands down as Guerrero's punches sailed through the space above or in front of him. This is fine when you have the reflexes and agility to pull it off, but when those reflexes fade he may just get caught with a big shot or two, and if it's a big puncher then he might even get into serious trouble.

At the moment he still looks very good in the ring, but I don't think he should fight past 40. He also places a lot of emphasis on how his health comes before the sport, so it makes more sense to retire and take less damage in sparring/matches.

I agree, Floyd has plenty left and could go on beating top opponents.
Amazingly talented fighter, that deserves all the credit he gets.
