Great for Boxing, I definitely think he will bring in some casuals.

As for his performance, it was certainly entertaining but not in a good way. He gave away all his advantages and chased Cunningham around the ring looking like a big dope but at the end of the day he pulled the win out of the bag so fair play to him.

If he fights like that against a bigger puncher it's nap time.

Cunningham is a top 15 heavyweight in my eyes. He just beat a highly rated guy in Adamek and got robbed. Fury came in out of shape but still got the win.

I always thought this was going to be a tough fight but he came through. He went to America and got the win against a strong opponent. The ref was giving Cunningham a lot of help as well.

It's a moot point. He is retiring because the fight was competitive.

Didn't look in particularly bad shape to me. The problem seemed that there was only one skillful boxer in the ring last night, and it sure as hell wasn't Fury.

Let's be honest Haye didn't bother with Cunningham because at 200lb because it was high risk/low reward, Fury however took the fight and got the win.

Cunningham is a lot better than Jonathon Banks at the end of the day. Out of the guys coming through, Fury is up there with anyone. I don't see Wilder, Mitchell or Price getting wins like that.

For me that was a great fight between two top contenders.

I think it's hilarious that we have an American guy with a world class trainer who's in top shape an obviously takes his boxing very seriously and we have a British guy who trains in his back garden with a selection of relatives and uses training drills such as pushing a wheelbarrow and he still wins its not offer we have a better boxer from our soil and its ironic that in this division he looks like he will get close to the top. He's like the guy at school who doesn't study, turns up with no pen at the exam but still aces it

Really? I'll admit I haven't seen too much of Banks but from what I have seen I wouldn't say Cunningham is a lot better than him.

Excatly the same way Wlad beat 40 year old, two year retired Mormeck along with all the rest of hiss opponents.

Well yes Cunningham is a lot better, based on his resume, how they've faired against common opponents and boxing ability as far as I'm concerned. Let's see Fury fight Banks, that's a tough test but a lot easier than this one imo.

Cunningham certainly rates a lot higher than guys like Manuel Charr.

    I can't say I agree.

A 6"9 clown stumbling around the ring, screaming "c'mon", throwing wild ridiculous hayemakers with zero technique, elbowing when needed is not entertaining. He showed zero defense, no footwork, no gameplan, little ring intelligence. Sorry, just doesn't do it for me. Maybe in a barfight, but not in a box fight.

He was lucky his stupidity hasn't backfired worse than it did yet with last night's knockdown.

I don't see how Wlad's name gets brought into it? Wladimir is one of the best Heavyweights of all time and at the moment of course he'd beat Fury but Fury is on the up, certainly by far the best of the current prospects and could give Vitali or Haye all they could handle and would have a decent chance vs. either.

Wladimir got stopped by Ross Purrity when he was about Fury's age, Fury has time to improve.

Fury came in about 1 stone over his best weight but tell me, who ended up getting knocked out? not Fury!
