Y'all be posting about how the gloves excuse was purely bull****. You will be using that fight to prove your point over and over again in just about all Pac-related thread here in ESB.

Leading to the 2nd Morales fight, one could sense every Pac-detractors was so sure the gloves had nothing to do with the outcome and was itching to post about "I told ya, Morales has Pac's numbers, any version of Morales".

Now that Pac proved not only once but in 2 occassion how he could beat Morales with his choice of gloves (among others), and y'all now still saying the gloves had nothing to do with it. It was because Morales was shot, Raheem softened him up (I didn't know a tough fighter like Morales being softened in a ballroom dancing match  ), etc, etc.

Here's news for you - even Morales himself was so convinced of the gloves factor that in the 3rd fight, he switched to the Reyes gloves himself!

I thought the last round of the first fight with Pac took more out of Morales than anything else. Plus Pac got better in the following fights. Gloves had nothing to do with it.

Yeah, it was easier after Morales took a beating from Raheem.

Gloves has something to do with every fight. in fact, its the major accessory of the sport! Will you be more comfy wearing low cut shoes or high cut when playing basketball?? Yes it depends on whose wearing it, and if one prefers the other, then its a valid excuse.

If Morales switched gloves for the third fight in which he lost even worse, then doesn't that support the theory that the gloves don't make that much of a difference?
Look man, acknowledging that Pac got beat fair and square by Morales in their first fight doesn't make anyone a 'Pac-detractor'. I acknowledge it, but i also acknowledge that Pac is the p4p #1 right now.
    Am i a detractor then?

If morales won the rematch... nobody would have called him "shot". Amazing how pac makes his opponents "shot" when he beats them...

Facts are facts. Morales had lost 2 out of his last 3 fights going into the Pac rematch. Weren't some people already saying Morales might be shot before the rematch?

    LOLZ

Morales might not be at his prime but talk about him being shot before the rematch was non-existent, in fact there was a poll here in esb who they think will win... and he was actually winning the polls. Lot's of people here picked morales to school pac but looked what happened? if morales won... the myth of him being "shot" would not have been blown out of proportion.

I was one of those people who actually thought that a rubber match was not needed since i know after the beating morales got during the rematch he may not be the same again... But the funny thing is same people who picked morales to win the rematch still favored him and said that he has still "one last fight" left in him and will beat pac. The rest is history... :deal

Of course it did. Morales camp requested Pac is not allowed to use Reyes gloves on the first fight. Morales wins. Pac team demands they are able to use Reyes gloves. Pac wins. 3rd fight, Morales opt's to use Reyes gloves.

All the signs are there, Morales himself requesting Pac is not allowed, then he himself using it. On top of that, Pac said he lost cos of Reyes gloves, give him reyes gloves he knocks him out and he did exactly just that. What more proof do you need other than factual results?

Im not saying it was solely the gloves, it was a number of things. Pac's improved game, bodyshots, more comfortable in weight, no cut above eye, Morales slowing down, and the gloves. Obviously if Pac feels he hits harder with Reyes, thats a boost of confidence, and Reyes are infact harder so already each shot Pac hits Morales with is doing more damage thus further slowing down Morales.

Facts are facts, 1 loss came from MAB, Morales lost to MAB in his prime too did that make him shot then? Secondly Morales fought a very good slick fighter in Raheem at 135, a completely different weight and different style of fighter from Pac...I dont see how this fight is relevant to Pac-Morales at 130???

The only true indication of Morales being really shot is when Pac blasts him out in the 3rd fight and when he fought a very close fight with David Diaz showing he had no legs later in the fight. Both fights coming after the rematch.

Barrera used to be shot too when Pac beat him but after that he (Barrera) made a string of great wins against Ayala and Morales, it was changed from being shot to just simply having an off-night.
