Pac can't pull the trigger like he used to. There were a ton of openings he wasn't able to take advantage of when Horn walked in face first. He's definitely completely done as an elite force in boxing. Probably B+ level now.
Before Manny is a beast, horn won't last 6rounds but when he changed his religion, he became humanitarian, he can finish horn in round 10, but he didn't, because he knows he's ahead on the scorecard.also his Age slow him down, but still competitive
First, Pac should fire Arum! Arum is a damned liar.........................Teddy Atlas told it like it was, that decision appears to have been corrupt........................idiot ignorant judges or just plain corrupt, whatever, Pac won the fight and it was not close..............
Bump. Crazy how things can change over time. My perception of current Pac has definitely changed and I'm still amazed how Pac, even at this stage, is willing to fight the young guns and still manages to make it a 50/50 fight. This is the fight that will really show us how much Pac still has left. We shall see if he can still remain great at this age.
It is funny how 20/20 hindsight can be between posts a couple of years ago and now in regards to Manny. We all thought Pacquiao was down and out after the Horn fight. Yet, here we are 9 days away and Pacquiao is in a PPV fight with Keith Thurman. I agree in that this fight will definitely tell us whether Pacquiao can turn back the clock and deliver not only a vintage performance but also a victory.
Amazing bump. I was on the same boat calling Manny's performance lackluster (though a clear win still) and that he should hang 'em gloves. Pacquiao should win over Thurman. There's no better result for boxing than that. I think even for Thurman, that will be a good wake up call to start taking on the real challenges since there's no more "0" to protect. I believe even the worst Pac-hater would want him to win this one, if only for nostalgia. Imagine if he wins this one and then takes on Khan (verbal agreement for late this year) and then finally Spence before he retires at the age of 42? Damn. Being relevant in WW boxing at his age is such an accomplishment in itself already. Will definitely put boxing on the spotlights again.
Pacman doesn't need to take on Spence or Crawford, that might be a bit too much for him given his age. He's catching Thurman at the right time and this fight makes sense for now. I'd like to see him fight Danny or Mikey Garcia next or just call it a day. He's had an incredible career and doesn't need to go out on his shield taking on the very best at 147 lbs.
I agree, Spence or Crawford is too much, but if he wins, he WILL take on those challenges. That's just the kind of person that he is. Danny AND Mikey would be great fights though, I'd pay to watch those live.
You baby ROFLMAO!!! The Pac haters have been deep in prayer for him to lose since the fight was announced. Maaayyybbbee not the JMM fans, but definitely the Floyd fans. It's KILLING them that Pac is fighting a young, hungry, undefeated lion with the best resume at welterweight outside of Pac. Especially the incel known as @Dance84
