No one saw Floyd throw 435 punches. When?! In between the 20+ clinches?

I think the fact that 2 years later, Spence, Crawford and Thurman still haven’t fought each other or are even close to it speaks more about the current era than Manny Pacquiao.

Don't forget that Pacquiao wanted Crawford and was ducked by:
    • Danny Garcia
    • Adrien Broner
    • Vasiliy Lomachenko

The truth of the matter is, we are more likely to see Manny vs Spence or Crawford next than we are to see any of those three fight each other. The most shameful thing is how much these guys are lauded despite their paper thin resumes. They have had a chance to make a huge impact on the sport and have done absolutely nothing. All great talents in their own right, but talent alone doesn’t make for a noteworthy career.

LMAO! Yeah there was controversy surrounding score cards. I use punch stats gingerly.
I copied those to revisit next week and see if Thurman's style of fight will reduce the amount Pac throws.

As looking at his fight with a flat footed Margarito, he reeled off 1,000...but for Marquez, his punch rate went down. I expect Keith to be a lot more mobile then he claims, so Pac IMO will throw around the same amount he did with Floyd.

It's hard to get excited about a current Pac. He's still a name and somewhat of a "cashcow" but his fights have seemed irrelevant lately.

It's like when Chavez was fighting past his shelf-life, the excitement just wasn't there.

Pac is STILL one of the most exciting fighters in the game because of three things:
    • Pac initiates action (it's not his fault people promise to go to war only to run)
    • Pac inevitably rocks and/or drops his opponent
    • Pac is a living legend and is still performing at an incredibly high level

I get what you're saying and can't disagree with one thing you posted but to me he's not the best of his div. anymore, he's simply a place-holder at this point.

What are you basing this on?

    Rounds Won/Loss

    Rios (12-0)
    Algieri (12-0 or 11-1)
    Bradley II (8-4)
    Bradley III (10-2)
    Vargas (12-0)
    Horn (9-3)
    Matthysse (7-0 KO)
    Broner (12-0)

81 Rounds Won to 10 Lost

That's an overwhelming number of rounds won to lost against world class opponents. Maidana, Porter, and Mikey couldn't shut out Broner.

Hard to believe this fight is only 6 days away now. I lean toward Thurman because of age. Who really has Pacquiao beat the last few years? Vargas, Mathyssee, and Broner aren't exactly a stellar lot.

    LOL
First off, the great majority of those guys are second tier "world class opponents", and secondly where did you get those score cards, C'mon man.

Pac never wanted Crawford. Bob Arum has admited a couple of times he protected Pac from Crawford. When even being asked if he would fight Crawford, Pac would say u have to talk to my promoter about that. Who ever Bob think i should fight, i will.
