Vlad looked pretty determined to me. Not his all time greatest by any stretch but he looked good i thought. On the other hand Joshua's style could have made Vlad look a little better than it really is. But had Joshua not got the KO i think Klitschko would have nicked it on points.
I thought Wlad looked pretty good. He moved well, was using the jab well. Steward used to implore Wlad to push for KO's, when instead Wlad would often cruise to a decision. So I wouldn't assume that just because Wlad couldn't finish Joshua off - that he must be shot.
I'm not sure which old Wlad you mean. The old Wlad, after Steward, was the one winning by death by jab and clinch.
I don't think Wlad looked slow. Maybe his stamina let him down in round 10/11, he stopped jabbing. But he seemed real fast for most of the fight.
Hey, you mind your own affairs. Don't you worry Fury is coming back with a vengeance. Fury can and will shed the weight and Joshua's stiff ass is gonna get the schooling of a lifeftime. Hell even John Fury admits Tyson was a fat kid before he started boxing. He has balloned in weight in many times and has always come back.
Until Fury gets his sh!t in gear, he isn't doing anything anywhere to anyone. This coming from a formerly staunch Fury fan who predicted him to beat Wlad first time round. AJ's the man now.
For once I agree with you. He should have emptied the tank, he went for it a few times and hurt Joshua badly but then backed off from going all out. I think he thought I'll win it on points or get another chance. he forgot he was 41 vs a 28 y/o. He did the same with Povetkin but won that time.
I think he was trying to hard to land that highlight reel left hook, I genuinely felt bad for the bloke because he knows it's one that got away.
I've been a fan of his and Vitale's for 12 years, and even I admit.... it's time for him to retire He may have a record rematch clause but I see no demand for a rematch
He should´ve finished Joshua in the mid rounds. However, he played it way too safe and payed the price for it. Father time is undefeated, and it is Wladimirs time to retire now.
A hurt fighter is a dangerous fighter and Wlad was never a good finisher , in fact he was a terrible one. He was shocked AJ got up in the 6th. That blow would have fell a horse.
