Fair enough. In that case Wlad was in is absolute prime when he lost to Purrity.

If prime Wlad can't beat Purrity , then prime Wlad can't beat AJ.

I must have watched another fight.

I saw a Wlad bouncing around the ring, recovering fast from knockdowns, showing good defence with his footwork getting him out of range for the most part!

If you didn't know the ages you wouldn't think Wlad is 41

Also this about "Fury would dance round Joshua" that I keep seeing. Fury hasn't been training for a year and a half, regardless of Joshuas stamina Fury wouldn't beat Joshua this year and probably not early 2018. Fury needs a while to get rid of weight, ring rust, get his fitness back & get a boxing license!

And if prime Foreman can't beat Young then prime Foreman can't beat Frazier.

100% spot on. There's only one king of the hill now, and that's AJ. Fury is so far removed from any claim to be taken seriously as a boxer that he will need at least 18 months if not a tad longer before he can get into title contention. And that's under ideal circumstances, given his weak-mindedness, boxing politics and promoter issues.

So please explain what Wlad was trying to accomplish when he was throwing his hooks that AJ was slipping?

From where I was seated it looked like Wlad was trying to finish him off but couldn't

People seem to have no concept of how some fighters look "better" or "worse" depending on the style of their opponent.

Wlad was determined to win this fight, but why don't people realize he was determined to win against Fury too ?
For the life of me I can't understand how anyone thinks Wlad would lack any incentive to beat a man like Fury, a guy who'd been mocking him. Wlad's always been in great shape.
Wlad couldn't do anything at all against Fury and won't ever be able to accept that loss. Neither will many so-called boxing fans it seems.

Fighters don't get better between the ages of 39 and 41.

Styles make fights. Fury-Wlad was dull, AJ-Wlad was exciting.
AJ gave Wlad plenty of opportunity to shine, it was a life-and-death struggle and a spectacular brutal finish. AJ was open to get hit, and almost got knocked out on his way.
Fury just shut Wlad down and did enough to win a comfortable decision, but even he had Wlad's knees sagging at one point, and busted his face open. Wlad showed almost nothing against Fury because he had almost no opportunity.

I have to say I agree....Wlad looked as if he got inside a time machine. Too bad he still lacks that killer instinct to follow up and close the show.
I actually want him to fight again based on this recent performance

He looked the best he's looked for a long time. I thought Klitscko was fighting the fight of his life and looked terrific. Great footwork, good headmovement and wasn't defensive first.
