and Froch aint a special fighter.

Kessler is exremly predicable with his attack and effective against substandard opposition.

He comes in straight lines doesnt move his head.

The one quality Froch would find difficult with Kessler is his left Jab, hes more consistant with it than Taylor, but Taylor throws his from the hip.

Kesslers pucnhes are straighter than Taylor, Taylor didnt catch froch with straight punches he caught froch with Hooks.

I think its a 50/50 fight....depends where it was....in Denmark I give Kessler the edge....in Uk Froch by Ko.

If Calzaghe could hurt Kessler I definately think Froch can do alot of damage also.

It was also astonishing how easy Kessle rfolded mentally in the Calzaghe fight. He had no plan B or C...like I said predictable...

Froch on the other hand is unpredictable, he comes from wild andgles and hurts u.

Kessler doesnt roll with punches like Taylor he is very robotic.

I am going to say Froch wins via KO, hes isnt a special fighter but Kessler certainly isnt.

probably best if the OP just hits the logout button and forgets his credentials, boxing obviously not his forte...

Wlad has no head movement and is very predictable, tell me how that worked out for him would you? lol

    Flame on brother.

Seriously, I don't think this would even be a contest. The only reason Taylor lost was because he completely gassed. Kessler's only lost a few rounds in his career outside of the Calzaghe fight, he probably gave Calzaghe the third toughest fight of his career, and he's fought plenty of decent to good opposition.

As for the straight punches argument, Kessler is also a MUCH more accurate puncher than Taylor, and has much better lateral movement than Taylor, and Taylor never even tried to take advantage of the fact that Froch keeps his lead hand low. Kessler would just circle all night, throwing out the jab and 1-2 straight combinations.

I give Froch credit for having a good game plan against Taylor and beating him, but my opinion of him hasn't changed. He's still slow, he's still a mediocre boxer, and his assets are still his chin and his power, and to some extent his stamina. Kessler's never been wobbled in his career to my knowledge, and he's always been able to go 12 hard rounds. Take those advantages away from Froch, and he's a very ordinary fighter.

According to Manny Steward Kessler gassed bc JC made him fight at a much higher pace than he was used too. Only a VERY fast southpaw with a mean chin can do that - Froch is none of those.

And FYI, Calzaghe only hurt Kessler once with a body shot (While JC was reeling from MK's bombs in rd 2, rd4 (twice), rd7, rd8 and rd12). The rest of the fight Kessler was mostly frustrated rather than getting hurt.

It's hard to fit Cal-hate, Kessler-hate, Andrade-hate, Taylor-hate and Froch-:love all into one post. Congraturation, a winner is you!

Cal beat Kessler so decisively because Cal is a good spoiler and is amazingly fast at adapting; it's just too bad that he never bothered to take intelligent risks with that. Kessler fought very well in that bout; if it had been a conventional A-/B+ opponent in front of him, he'd have won by 2-3 rounds, at least.

It takes a very special fighter to beat Kessler...
...namely, one that can get through ****-blocker Palle.

Kessler has only been beaten by a special fighter, whose combination of speed, adaptability and workrate may not be matched for quite a while. If Taylor had Kessler's stamina, he would have beaten Froch handily.

Even his stamina is not that great, he always look slow in the late rounds. He dont throws a lot of punch and usually wait for his opponent to attack to counter. His very slow pace is what help his stamina stay to a decent level.
