Lets boycott the WBA

Agreed. Their Heavyweight title is beyond a joke. As is Kahn's shot at Kotelnik for a so called 'world title'.

 

Agreed, the IBF, WBC, WBO are all jokes but the WBA is by far the biggest joke of them all, they have diluted the meaning of the belt by having all that ordinary, super, interm bs. anyway we should only recognise one belt in the first place like the ring magazine belt which at least doesn't have the greed of the other organisations :fire:tired

 

You forgot that Chris John, Despite not having unified the WBA title, is now the WBA Super Champion so they could give Gamboa a shot at the 'Regular' WBA title! Thus making more money and a mockery of their already stupid organisation.

It will come a time where they will have ten champs per division,the more champs they have the more money they get from sanctioning fees.

at the moment the wbo is the best i know they have some total assholes as some of there mando's but atleast they allow unification bouts which allows boxing to be interesting

 

I agree that the WBA are a joke but because they have a long history and some great fighters have held their belts in the past then people will still want to fight for them.

If they keep inventing new titles though then they can't be taken seriously much longer.

 

Lets not forget the WBA has several 'minor' titles as well: Native American, Latino, etc

 

They're also affiliated with regional organisations that have some bull**** titles too, like the EBA. I've never once heard an EBA belt holder referred to as the European Champion.
