You still get saved by the bell in the last round, right? Let's do basic arithmetic: Dropped with 7 second left, ref starts counting to ten, bell rings at 7. Fight's over goes to a decision. Really not complicated.
Brilliant reasoning. So he waited until after Vargas threw more punches at Bradley that may have ended the fight, which were blocked and ducked, and waited for Bradley to tie him up to make his corrupt decision to prematurely stop the fight. Luckily the 10 second warning conveniently happened at that exact same time. Sometimes I wonder if people think things thru before they post.
I thought you couldn't be saved by the bell? Even if you can't all he had to do was stand up within 10 seconds. The likelihood of vargas even knocking him down were very slim and the odds of him not being able to get up are even less.
Not sure what the rules for the fight were but assuming you couldn't be saved by the bell Vargas was robbed very good chance he puts Bradley down for the 10 count.
 Provo had tim down and out on his feet a few times that fight. Vargas was nowhere close to getting tim outta there
To put "Robbed" and "Vargas" in the same sentence is disrespectful to Tim Bradley who literally won every round of the fight!! The only person who may have been robbed in this fight is Tim
LOL no. Tim was blocking punches and tied him up. After the ref would have broke up the tie up he had maybe 4-5 seconds to land a shot that would have put tim down. No way he even puts him down let alone for a 10 count.
Vargas was robbed of those 7 seconds but I don't think it matters at all. Vargas wasn't going to stop Bradley. He had already survived the worst of it and was starting to recover. I'd hate to see the credit Bradley deserves for a convincing win over a good fighter get overshadowed by the fights ending.
Agreed. It's controversial, and rightfully so, but people need to think it thru. The far more likely outcome is what actually ended up happening; a Bradley UD. That said, Vargas did deserve the chance, whatever the odds were, to try and finish Bradley.
