You missed out my friend. There's nothing like watching the fights unfold as it happens in the now.
I looked forward to watching Finito just as much or more than I did the main event.
You know that cliché of "watching him was like watching Picasso paint."???
For me, watching Finito in a ring do his thing was beyond Picasso.
    What mastery!
He was so fluid and punched with such intensity, while at the same time keeping himself in position and perfectly balanced. That is so rare. I have goosebumps just thinking about it.
    Damn I miss those nights!
I miss watching Finito Lopez mastering the ring! :bbb

Indeed. Lopez boxed and moved like he was a master swordsman. Another fighter that I truly admire and feel that gets severely overlooked is Orlando Canizales. Now there's a fighter who also epitomized the sweet science with his unbelievable punching combos and amazing footwork. It was like watching water flow.

Going back to the topic. What's your opinion on GGG and where does he stand p4p as of now?

I'm seeing we have the same taste in styles. Boxer punchers that can do both box and war. Even better, both within the same framework inside a ring.

Orlando Canizales is right up there with Finito Lopez and Juan Manuel Marquez in as far as throwing a flow of beautiful combination punches.
One of my favorite fights to watch is Orlando destroying the the hyped up Gold Medalist Paul Gonzales.
Orlando's brother Gaby wasn't a bad fighter either, I'd recommend watching Gaby stop Happy Lora.
Lora a terrific boxer came out firing against Gaby, he stunned Gaby pretty good in I believe the 2nd round, but having seen Gaby many times before, I told my brother as Lora was going in for the kill and stalking, "He's playing possum, he's playing possum." Just as I was saying that, Gaby off the ropes lets go a short left hook out of hell and drops Lora hard. Lora badly hurt was stopped by Gaby right after.

Me and my brother have never forgotten that fight, to this day everytime a fighter that has dropped another is going in for the kill against a fighter that doesn't seem to be that badly hurt, we say to eachother, "he's playing possum" and we both remenince and remember Gaby's left hook landing on Happy Lora!

Chocolatito Gonzales today is the only fighter that comes close to the type of flow in his combinations of Finito, Marquez, and Canizales.
    What fighters!!!:D

I feel like the comparison between these two still holds up. I get the feeling that if Lopez was fighting today's era he'll get criticized harshly on this forum as well because of his competition.
People will give GGG his dues eventually once he finishes his career. I'm certain he'll retire unbeaten with the draw his only blemish, like Finito.

No comparison from a skills perspective. Power on the other hand favors GGG

GGG has better feet(which says a lot because Lopez has amazing feet himself) and 2 fisted power(Lopez power is in his left).

    Both have great jabs

    Lopez is better everywhere else

Fair enough answers, but why didn't Ricardo ever unify the titles? GGG has 3.
