Margarito right now is ranked #2 at Welter with Cotto being #1 the winner of that fight is the Champ at WW, however like I said you can grab some of your old Ring Magazines to follow along with me here if you like then again it doesnt suite your arguement so I doubt you will do that.
Margarito has been rated #1 by Ring until he lost to Williams meaning he was the best Welter weight out there under Floyd who was champion, Mosley was #2 and Cotto was #3
as it stands now Cotto #1 Margarito #2 Mosley #3 and Williams #4

You said Zab wasnt elite despite being ranked #3 at the time pbf beat him and you said baldomir wasnt elite either despite being the undisputed ww champ. Rankings dont mean anything you know that.

When pbf beat zab and baldomir, cotto hadnt even fought at ww yet.
