I didnt forget hes a WW fighting at MW but so is Martinez and Martinez agreed to a catchweight when Williams was saying he was willing to go in the SMW S6, so Id say Williams stacked it well for himself. Martinez is only fighting at MW because he was offered a Pavlik fight.
As for the rest you note, you say Williams would have easily beaten Cintron, but that will never be known now, one journalist report I read didnt give Williams a round same as one of the scoring judges, so lets not pretend it was a one way fight.
Margarito was a good win over a world class WW, but lets not go overboard, its one win and that was a close fight, now consider how much easier Santos, Mosely and Pacquiao beat Margarito.
Winky was coming off a lay off of nearly 2 years and a loss
Quintana wasnt a top class fighter, he is solid but not spectacular
Phillips was a double figure losses fighter when Williams fought him and at the end of his career
Beating Martinez however you view the result, was a good win but Martinez was training for an over weight fight, and against a nobody so didnt have the same motivation. As I noted a return wouldnt favour Williams and I was correct

, that was written before the rematch was announced I believe

    also as predicted

I was attacked on this thread and accused of being bias, maybe people can now see thats not the case. Now many after Khans win over Maidana are starting to feel Khan would beat Alexander and Bradley, which many disagreed with when first posted on here

Santos beat Margarito by dodgy Technical Decision, caused by a headbutt. Who knows what would have happened if that had not happened and the fight had continued.

Mosley and Pacquiao beat Margarito after Williams had already beaten him. Margarito was not focused in the Shane fight due to having his favorite wraps confiscated, so did not fight to his full potential. Pacquiao beat a Margarito who hadn't won a meaningful fight in 2 years, and had looked like **** in his last 2 fights. It was not a good win for Pacman at all.

Williams beat a Margarito who was a champ, had not been legitimately beaten for 11 years, and had recently destroyed unbeaten Kermit Cintron. Williams fought the most feared fighter in boxing, and outworked him to a win. Williams beat a better version of Margarito than Pacquiao for sure, and a more mentally at ease version than Mosley did.

Williams win over Margarito is better than anyone else's. How you can dispute that is beyond me.

Williams did score a good win over Margarito in what I thought was a very close fight.
It was arguably Williams best career moment. Where did I dispute that?

Still look at this post, you can see that I was right so far, time will tell for the rest

I just think it was a better win than the one's Mosley, Pacquiao and Daniel Santos recorded over Margarito.

Oh, and I think Mares will be found out pretty soon, Rigondeaux aswell.

Might be, might not, I havent said either way. The one thing I do note is how much smaller Pacquiao was and that it was at a weight better suited for Margarito

Thank you Big_Bill_Bronzy. You can see that I was never bias, but made what I thought was an honest assessment at that time
