I think that often people disregard facts or results if they don't fit into their narrative. When confronted with a contrary fact , "Yeah, but . . ." The bottom line it's easy to trash a career or write of an accomplishment from behind their keyboard when they didn't take risk or put in the work.
Hhmmm... being "UNDEFEATED" seems to be the goal today. With cable TV and PPV, the hype is more important, than the record. Also, once a fighter gets a "NAME" it seems that they don't fight as often as they did in the past. MONEY has a lot to do with limiting the frequency of fights. In the past you had to "fight to eat". Now it seems one fight per year is pretty much the standard for the contenders and belt holders.
Yes you only fight ince a year so making excuses for their losses seems disrespect to the old timers.
