Nah ***** it has to do with plenty. Blacks have tons of great athletes in other sports sports that in this country matter the NFL, NBA and MLB those dominate the rest.:deal How many Mexicans do you see in the NFL or NBA?:hi::deal Now since we're talking boxing when was the last Mexican who was P4P #1 in boxing? Who schooled him BTW?:hi: When has a great Mexican fighter ever beaten a great Black fighter? Why do you guys always come up short?:think If you want to take it there I have no problems taking it there check the ****ing record books *****.:deal This is where your hate stems from.:deal:lol::lol:

    Put it this way.

How many people bought Marquez vs Diaz or Casamayor?
Now compare it to how many bought Floyd.

Floyd draws money. He's been in three huge fights in a row now money wise. Pacquaio has the chance to be the biggest ever, they should do it on the gentlemans agreement, winner takes 55%, loser takes 45%

I don't monitor the PPV coz I don't get a single dime! Do you?!

Anyway, Arena falls short...and you call pbf the cash cow or draw?!

That article disputes your claim. END OF THREAD

Chavez stopped Taylor who was a champion who was also an olympian.
Your now saying Floyd schooled Oscar? Get ****ing real and SD is not a lesson, though I dont expect someone who quit at the lowest level of this sport to know that so you get a pass.
Bring up basketball and football I dont care its got nothing to do with boxing.
Umm un talented Sergio Mora beat vernon Forrest for christ sakes, and BTW its not about Mexican with me, its about Latino fighters as a whole, and like I said when it comes to the sport, right now you all have little to hold on to its reality man you know it.
look at todays current world champions thats all you need to know. Keep talking **** abotu Mexicans your own family has that blood in them

With the exception of Hatton, Calzaghe, ODLH and Pacquaio - who fills stadiums these days? No one.

Floyd not filling the stadium doesn't matter. The PVP money is where the real money was and from what we hear, it generated a million buys, against a guy hardly known by the casual fan.

I'm talking about the great JCC getting the socks boxed off of him by Pea Whitaker.:deal It's clearly about Mexicans with you. In past comments you have said it was the Mexicans who bought all the PPVs and were soley responsible for its success. ****ing crazy to say the least.:patsch At the end of the day the record book doesn't lie you know it and everyone else here knows it as well. Blacks have dominated Mexicans at the highest level of this sport. You also hate PBF for the fact that he's never lost to a Mexican fighter and it burns you up and keeps you up at night.:hi: Don't worry though you still have Chavez Jr to restore some dignity south of the border.:yep

come on guys. jmm is not that unknown anymore compared to 5 years ago. lets not live in the past.

    1. ticket sales will always be reflective of PPV and if people do not see the correlation between the two. then there is no hope for you.

    2. i agree with the point that the venue was filled mostly with mexicans considering the crowd reaction. although this is not a scientific approach, quite a number of fans and even roach pointed this out. and i cannot remember one pbf fan here who admitted watching the fight live.

    3. just because jmm does not draw crowds in the likes of mab or em before does not mean he did not draw a crowd now. with proper promotiona coinciding with the mexican holiday, i am sure that was a factor.

considering all of this, it is quite logical to realize that the fight did not do well as hyped by some people.

moving the fight to sept. 19 probably increased the sales because of the mexican holiday but i am sure it also increased the overhead and marketing cost.

JMM is very well known in the boxing scene.
But he isn't known at all in the casual scene.
Casual scene is where 80% of the buys come from.

You might be mixed but you're Mexican through and through. You sided with Margo in the Cotto-Margo fight and defended him like crazy when he got caught cheating.

dude, the point being is. jmm is well known in mexico and parts of the US.

because it is human nature to support your own, i am sure that majority of the buyers of the fight were of mexican or latin american descent.

either through ticket or ppv with a significant part being pbf fans also.
