Lets face it - Dimitrenko larrups Briggs

Good fight, very hard one to call for me. Dimitrenko has a good chin and decent boxing ability but Briggs can definitely bang but can he stop himself from gassing out in the mid to late rounds?

Briggs has the power to take him out early but if it goes past 6 then Dimitrenko wins.

 

50-50 fight for me.

 

Dimitrenko was partly retired if I remember correctly. Even though he is still young his best days are behind him. I disagree about his jab. It sucks. Or he does not use it past the 4th or so round. He lets himself get sucked into infighting which is completely stupid considering his build.
Therefor I believe Shannon Briggs is a nightmare match-up for Dimitrenko. If Briggs still is somewhat close to the version he was in the Klitschko fight I believe that this will be a short affaire. Briggs by KO in round 5.

 

Best fight on the card as it actually raises interest and should be competitive for a while

Dimitrenko has stopped some good guy like Rossy that Stiverne had real trouble with just recently so Briggs has to bring it. Not sure he can coast to a UD here.

Dimitrenko is ****, I can't write Briggs off on this one. Dimi got ko'd from a Pulev jab, and he's struggled on the Central/Eastern European bum circuit he's been on over the last 4 years.

I guess Dimitrenko is an even ****pier attorney then he is a boxer, because he "retired" to practice full time...

 

Agree, I was expecting someone like Cornish or Towers to fight Briggs.

I'd like Dimitrenko here if it wasn't for his chin and defensive issues... If he had a decent chin all he would have do was survive the early Briggs blitz and then just pop a jab out en route to a comfortable UD win.... Gut says Briggs by KO but this isn't a gimme by any means... Dimitrenko is levels above any of the other opponents he's faced since mounting his comeback, and easily the 2nd best opponent since Ibragimov. Good competitive fight.

 

Dimitrienko says there is no fight planned, as per russian media. Expect last min replacement of the dangerous russian with whomever gives Briggs a ride to the arena.


If I was an Uber driver in UK the night of the fight, I'd take time off.

 

So Dimitrenko never received an offer from Briggs, nor from the Hayemaker.
