The glare, the shouting, curses, the shoves and classless gesturing... All Priceless.

Duran turned pro in 1968 and not 67, as I previously said. Cheers bud.

I actually think that some other fighters were possibly more complete. I tend to like Hagler's strengths across the board, especially his outside boxing ability over Duran's. Hagler was very good in all areas. It's debatable whether he's more complete than Duran though. He was very well rounded, could switch stance and was equally good at attacking as he was boxing at long range. Duran's defense was better, no question.

Hopkins is another serious candidate. Well rounded across the board too, with his technique surpassing that of Duran and Hagler. Textbook fundementals.

That one shot when he's in tight ass underwear is weird though.

Stonehands once made a very eloquent post about Duran and his pants. I won't try to capture its essence, but basically he said Duran was an animal and if they told him he had to train naked he just would have shrugged and got on with it. At that point in his life he was just pure fight, as pure as it gets.

My own thoughts are, a guy like that, if you were in that gym you would keep your thoughts to yourself, if you could actually have bought yourself to look at him.

    Would he get hard?

I couldn't ever talk about Duran after that, let alone work out in the same gym.

    Pinga de Piedra indeed.

Imagine if they had him fighting naked. He would have went from constant half mast to full mast everytime he hit Leonard hard (no homo)
