They've been working on one since 2010 actually. Pacino was interested in and got the role as Ray Arcel.

I'd honestly favor a full-length documentary. The Beyond the Glory piece was alright, but it's production values were far lower than those of later ones they did such as Leonard and Tyson.

Hopefully Duran is with us for quite some time yet, but eventually he won't be. Instead it'll only be people talking about him who weren't there. How many fighters that can legitimately be argued for the Top 10 are still around? Top 20, even. He's literally a living legend. Can only hope those with the means and ends to do so take advantage of that time.

that's awesome :good i was ****ing pissed when I found out he came to ontario for the molitor-caballero fight a few years ago and was apparently pretty great and courteous with fans. it was literally 30 minutes from my place and i had no idea he'd be attending atsch

 

That's miserable! I got you beat though. A friend of mine out of Brockton was going to visit Willie Pep in the nursing home a month before he died. I couldn't make it for some lame reason and then what happened, happened. I wanted to pour lemon juice in my eyes after that.
