i am fine being cussed, i dislike the 'I know more than you so i am free to say what i like attitude' that sometimes gets in the way of sharing knowledge and opinions on this otherwise excellent and interesting forum. and words like spastic, however it is meant.

Listen noob alias, I don't think I know more than many, but MAG, whilst pretty inoffensive, is also quite unbearable at times. No one here takes offence to me, apologies if you did, but I will not try to be more sensitive just in case I offend anyone so I would suggest you put me on ignore.

I will continue to read your posts and learn whatever you're willing to share.

Well I think you know I am not trying to rile you or anyone up. I just say what I believe. I would not get out here to rile people up. I love boxing. And Duran is a great fighter. I just always believed that aspect of the ATG and who he beat. His win over Ray was great no doubt. My belief is honestly
    Leonard
    Hearns
    Duran
Hagler. and put Benitez somewhere in there. But Duran had a great lightweight reign. Although my favorite was Hearns. I do know that logically the ratings are going to be Leonard,Duran, and then Hearns and Hagler interchanged at times. Tommy Hearns was great and beat great guys dominantly, but the thing which hurt his legacy is being stopped in his two biggest fights. Great wins and great losses.

what is a spastic? A poster who has an opinion which is different from the majority of the posters? People have defined me as a troll when it comes to Duran, but I never heard spastic. I really do think Duran is great. But not the 1-10 some thing in the ATG ranking.

You're not a spastic MAG, it's cool. I think it has more to do with restricted muscles than anything, anyway. You're just a wee bit of a hypocrite when it comes to the likes of Duran and Hearns. :good

    I wasn't amazed by it.
It's a very good fight but I don't think it's classic and amazing. I think it's overrated. But that's just my review of it. Tastes vary.

The best performances and wins for a prime Duran are as follows: De Jesus III, Palamino and Leonard I.

DeJesus should probably be in the HOF.

Palomino seems to be an underrated win for Duran, but of course I feel it's a Great Win. Carlos had a very respectable run at the top of the stacked 147 division and while it was his first bout since an SD loss to Benitez in Puerto Rico.... it was his first bout since an SD loss to Benitez in Puerto Rico. Still a very competitive, elite Welterweight going into his 30th fight.

duran seemed to win effortlessly against an elite fighter in palomino. like duran's entire career, it's only in viewing the performance that you realize it's magnitude
