It is laughable that people blame sky for the demise of boxing in the UK.

Right before Sky came in can someone please tell me how good the scene was over here. Yes we all know big fights on ITV did great numbers etc but tell me about the smaller promotions.

Did they have TV coverage? did young upcoming boxers have any platform to show there skills on live TV?

Yes you can argue that Sky took viewers away but to ignore the good things they have done for boxing in this country is a **** take.

I know for a fact that when I was a kid growing up there was fighters I would have never seen or even heard of if it wasnt for Sky coverage. They supported the domestic scene more then any Terrestrial TV channel would have ever done.
