Still the #1 Cruiser in the world. He now has wins over:

Krzysztof Wlodarczyk *Current WBC champ (and reigning IBF champ)
    Guillermo Jones *Current WBA champ
    Marco Huck *Current WBO champ
    Enad Licina
    Troy Ross
    Wayne Braithwaite (former WBC champ)
    Kelvin Davis (former IBF champ)
    Sebastian Rothmann

    Against only 2 losses:

Wlodarczyk (avenged) and Adamek (close FOTY candidate).

Cunningham is starting to get up there in age, but he is still the #1 Cruiserweight in the world ever since Adamek moved up. Let's give it up for an excellent boxer inside the ring and a classy gentleman outside the ring. :happy

He needs to move up to the heavyweight division. He's a better fighter than Chambers, Arreola and the other American hypejobs. He's a good talent.

Now way! He lacks the power and chin to compete there. He would be out of his depth. Cruiserweight is where he belongs. Yeah, he is the best right now but Lebedev or Frenkel will kick him from the throne in the not too distant future.

Cunningham doesn't have problems making weight though--he's got the height and reach but he's built on a skinny frame. Even after the cruiser weight limit was raised Cunningham was still coming into his fights around 190, and this week's 198.5 was the highest weigh-in of his career. Contrast that with Haye and Adamek's cruiser reigns--those guys had to drain to make the weight and consistently came in just under 200.

I see him defeating alot of ranked heavys if he moved up but I don't think he'd mess around with a Klitschko.

he has no power, he has no chin at HW. Adamek knocked him down triply. Adamek has no power at HW. Would u imagine cunningham fighting at HW ? hahaha

No, just no. His chin seems iffy at Cruiser, HW ain't a good idea.

It's an unfortunate thing that a thread was made now, with his best years behind him, as opposed to when he was prime and racking up some of those excellent wins. I thought he drew with Adamek, and that he would've beaten him if they'd even fought again, he fought stupidly against him and still was unlucky to lose. I'd like a Lebedev fight next for him, he needs to stay more active too.

Hopefully Cunningham gets to fight Huck for the Ring title soon. How many more fights are left on Cunningham's Sauerland contract?

Sauerland does seem to have confidence in Huck (they put him in the ring with Lebedev, even if Huck should have lost that fight). So why keep Cunningham waiting?

Maybe a super 6 is too ambitious...perhaps a simple 4 fighter single elimination would be best. Cunningham, Huck, the winner of Wlod-Palacios, and either Hernandez or Jones (whoever is the legit champ when this goes down). However this would leave Lebedev and Ross out, and both deserve another shot. Finally, Sauerland has yet another rising cruiser star in Frenkel.

A very good fighter. The most accomplished Cruiserweight by a mile.

It's a pity he has such mediocre ring IQ. If he fought a little bit smarter, used his speed, height, and reach adavantages to there best ability, he could be outstanding. It wouldn't hurt if he fought a little more frequently either.

He still beats any active Cruiserweight IMO. A true fighter. He deserves nothing but respect.

    He does lack ring IQ.:patsch

Watch him fight, he doesn't utilise his physical advantages to the extent that he should, yeah, he throws a lot of 1-2's, but that's about it. He has superior reach and speed to the vast majority of his opponents and rarely uses it. That's called lacking ring IQ.

And he goes outside his country to do it.......and low and behold he wins a decision. I guess you can win a decision outside the U.S. Bernard!!!

Used to train in the same gym as Cunningham. I have no clue how that guy makes cruiserweight. He is a big sumbitch, not an ounce of fat on the guy.
