Lets give Robert Garcia some credit....

i think garcia is a good trainer...im sure they are more than happy with their effort last night...as they come away looking good

but lets not go crazy with praise....maidana basically did exactly what we knew he would try to do and what he had to do....he mucked it up and made it ugly....it was pretty much the only chance he had....keep working and make it ugly...try to test floyds mettle and stamina

ariza had him in the shape to do it....i dont think it was a gameplan i couldnt/wouldnt have come up with myself if i was training maidana

 

Garcia, is proving that he is an excellent trainer. I think Chino is his best work. He is a completely different fight now. It is crazy what adding a jab can do.

 

i def agree hes done some things with maidana...no doubt about it

i just think the overall gameplan for them against floyd was an obvious one

 

Greatly improved yes but beat floyd NO !!

Garcia had a very good game plan going into this fight, which gave Floyd trouble..

Garcia had to anticipate that Floyd would adapt to his game plan, which is why I think Madaina coming into the fight with a 15lb advantage that would allow him to pin Floyd on the ropes and be able to do this for at least 6 or 7 seven round, which would make Floyd take more chances going into the late round.

But to Floyd credit he is a true General in the ring and never allowed the moment to distract him for what needed to be done.

And just for the record I think Roger is a better tactician then Floyd Sr
