Lets Go Dirrell it aint over yet!

The fight was boring, but Dirrell is clearly a great talent. As for Froch...nothing but a C level champion who will lose his belt to Kessler by KO in another few months.

It's called boxing not rock em sock em robot, friend. Also, why would Dirrell sell out his natural talents. The reason Froch could only win going toe to toe is because he isn't even in the same universe as Dirrell when it comes to talent or physical gifts. Froch is limited, pure and simple. And he's a walking dead man when it comes to Kessler.

 

This is the thing. I rewatched the fight a while ago and this running thing is being blown way out of proportion. Apparently you are a "runner" if you don't stand in front of Carl and let him hit you. The fight I saw, was Dirrell backing off but punching. He did get on his bike a few times but only to get out of a corner or avoid taking a pasting on the ropes. People make it sound like Froch was chasing him around the ring. Complete bollocks. He just wanted to fight in the middle of the ring not in the corner or on the ropes. What's wrong with that?

 

I dunno at times in the fight he would just get on his bike and move away from Froch

not that there's anything wrong with that ... but he did it way too much.

if he pot shotted more, it would have probably left a better impression on the judges

rather then choosing to just move, at times.

I think Dirrell literally left dozens of counterpunching opportunities on the table; he was in a situation where he had to get greedy and score whenever the opportunity presented itself in order to get that belt out of England, but he didn't capitalize near often enough on his countering to force the point. Make him miss is the first part of the equation. Make him pay is the second, and though he made Froch miss plenty, I thought Andre could've made him pay much more dearly than he did.

I'd like to think he wouldn't repeat that mistake in the rematch, but I've got to see how Dirrell rebounds from this to say for sure.

no it isn't im watching the fight right now

45 seconds left in the 3rd round and Froch chases Dirrell all the way to the corner to land a punch

and even the American commentary says the exact same thing in regards to Dirrell's running

watching right now and nearing the end of the 5th

I have Dirrell ahead 4-1 on clean punching alone, as Froch just isn't doing much.

Andre is moving, but to his credit also throwing punches as well.
