Hopkin won the first fight only one person in the ****ing world gave the round 12 to Taylor at the very least the fight should have been a draw. Though the second fight Taylor was the Champion and i believe he did enough to hold on to the belt not nessacarliy win the fight

Are people actually trying to say he was robbed?

He lost both times. In the first fight Hopkins won his rounds more convincenly than Taylor won his but boxing doesn't work like that.

Second fight, I can barely remember because it was so poor but I still thought Taylor edged it.

In my eyes Bernard remains undefeated ever since the Roy loss.

    He won both fights imo.

The first he was more defensive but wasn't getting hit with anything significant (he did get popped with the jab). B-Hops output was low but he was scoring the harder more powerful shots clearly. Even HBO's punchstats say Hopkins outlands Taylor in powershots... although I don't remember Taylor landing anything outside of the jab at all.

The second fight he was more aggressive and was dictating the action, which he got criticism for in the first fight. He even took more shots. But, the same crap that won Taylor the first fight didn't win Hopkins the second fight. Not to mention he also scored the more telling shots and outlanded Taylor in powershots again.

So yes, I think Bhop was robbed twice.

He certainly was robbed in the first fight and I will never be convinced otherwise.

The 2nd fight was disapointing because I thought Nard had Taylor's number and would win this fight even more convincingly, maybe even stop him. But he seemed let this fight slip through his fingers a bit, maybe because Jermain fought a bit smarter and gave him less spots to counter. Im not sure but Hops was less convincing in the 2nd fight.
So I dont think he was robbed there and was content for Jermain to get victory. Incidently I think I scored it a draw.

It did **** me a little because I thought Nard could have been given the 2nd one and in many people's eyes did. So if he had got the decision, that would have put in 1 a piece, possibly setting up a 3rd. (which in a way Im glad it didnt happen because they were **** fights). Which is justice and would have given Nard a chance to redeem himself.
But as it was they went down as two wins for Jermain, when at the very least it was 1 win and 1 loss.

    HBO got their wish anyhow.

  9. Bull**** -Taylor won both fight's:deal Hopkins didn't work enough in both bouts to win...

He wasnt robbed..but I had him winning the first and I had a draw in the second. The poll options are odd???

    Thats the weakest excuse ever.

EFFECTIVE Agression. Taylor was coming forward yes, throwing more punches yes but he wasnt scoring and wasnt scoring with the harder punches.
He just threw more jabs and looked like he was getting off first all the time. But Nard was slipping, parrying and just plain not there to let Taylor land.

Less of an issue in 2nd fight but this crap about Nard not working enough is bull.
He was working, on his defense, ring generalship and counterpunching.

I say again the key word is EFFECTIVE, Taylor's work was mostly ineffective.

I agree in the sense that no one has actually outboxed him since RJJ but i do think he "technically" lost based on how boxing is scored agasint JT both times.

I love Hopkins and i tried to give him the fight in both fights but i just can't see it. Too inactive.
