Let's hear it for Miguel Cotto

I wish people would learn to use the word 'expose' properly. A former Olympian and three-time world champion in two weight classes who fights the best fighters available without fail isn't "exposed" if he loses. It's what happens when elite fighters get in the ring together. Somebody has to lose, morons. Exposed is what happens when a star with a perfect record gets dominated by somebody of a less than A-level caliber. This was a great champion getting beaten by the greatest fighter in the world. That's not exposed, that's just beaten. What the hell is wrong with people?

 

Cotto is the man. Warrior through and through and humble as they come. He trained hard, fought well and was at his peak tonight. Aside from Pac and Mayweather there isn't a fighter 147 and below that coulda beaten Cotto tonight. Class act, I wish him the best and hope he fights either Margo or Mosley again next for big money.

 

Big ups to Cotto. He came in great shape, fought smart and hard, hung in as long as he could and was classy in defeat. A true pro, and a credit to the sport. He'll be back. He looked very good early tonight.

He has the tools and he showed that when he was comfortably at times troubling pacman at times but he needs to learn how to adjust and maintain tactics and be disciplined
