I was so impressed with him tonite. I was worried he would be abit overwhelmed by the occassion but the guy took to it like a vet! I thought he won a close but clear decision but either way his stock shot up 10 fold for me. Lets hope this great talent bounces back from this.

Dirrell fought well all the way through and showed his class in the Championship Rounds. Nothing more to say than that, I guess. As bad as the decision was, I suppose it can't be changed.

Very impressed by him. Great class after he clearly got depantsed by the judges. Hopefully he comes back stronger than ever, especially since the judges made sure he no longer has a perfect record to protect.

Clearly became one of my "boxers to watch" overnight.

he looked skilled but couldn't put it together to save his life.
he could have completely embarrassed Froch tonight and instead he let him off the hook with his running and inactivity.

instead of learning something from this fight, like he has to be more active and use his skills he instead walked away with nothing but sour grapes. disgusting.

I don't think he'll have sour grapes. Get some heart or get out of boxing.

I was just impressed with his maturity. It was a big step up in class and he was fighting in hostile territory. You cant ask for a more difficult first shot at a title amd to top it off he was a gentleman afterwards (embracing after the final bell, touching gloves with froch while they were awaiting the decision).

Fully agreed. I honestly didn't know so much about him before tonight, but he showed me a lot.

I was seriously impressed by what I saw out of Dirrell. Especially in the 10th and 11th rounds. He deserved the victory but he'll need a lot more polish if he's to beat AA.

Just finished watching the AA fight. AA is seriously the truth. Froch is a poor man's AA. The way he Froze Taylor and then busted through his guard was jut discustingly scary. Even the look on his face and the spring in his step right before he did it makes you think he knew exactly what was coming. Dirrell will have to do a good job of learning quickly but I fear for him in the next fight.

I was very impressed with his post fight interview. The kids a natural fighter and a class act. If him verse Ward would be a match made in heaven.

He looked great during the championship rounds when he was more aggressive and when he was slipping punches instead of running away. He kept his composure despite the hostile crowd and the rough tactics by Froch and he didn't turn into a whiny ***** like clottey and paulie after their controversial losses. But I really wish he fought that way the whole time. He probably would have won it too if he had done that. It was hard to watch the fight when he kept running and holding. Still, I was impressed by his speed and boxing skills. Hopefully he realizes now how hard it is to win on points with a lot of defense and little offense.

He should have won and showed a lot of toughness we didn't know he had... I wasn't, however, completely satisfied with his gameplan. In spots he ran and clinched a lot more than he had to. With his speed advantage it looked to me like he coulda have just stood his ground little more, taken slight steps to the side, and let his fast hands unleash crisp powerpunches on tehe slower Froch all night. If he had done that and not given up so much ground to Froch, then he would've put a clinic on tonight. Oh well, something for him to learn from and improve on in the future.
