have the longevity of a Bernard Hopkins. I don't think the HW division can survive 11+ more years of this ****. HW boxing is almost extinct in America, I don't want to see the same happen in the rest of the world. Don't get me wrong, Wlad is a damn good fighter. However, his fights have very little intrigue. Because he's been on the canvas like 96 times and stopped three times, he is not going to overextend himself. Meanwhile, his opponents are deathly afraid of him and refuse to engage him and take advantage of his weaknesses. Is it too much to ask for a challenger with talent and some heart? Adamek is our last hope. If he gets pummeled, then I fear the HW division is doomed to one sided jab fests for the forseeable future.
Funny how you hate Wlad for being dominant but at the same time cautious but love Mayweather and Hopkins for the sweet science- hit without getting hit mentality. Such hypocrisy.
Size difference is too difficult to overcome for the current limited talent. For the larger guys, they simply aren't good enough.
I don't hate Wlad, I just think his fights have very little intrigue. Name me some contenders that you think you can compete with him? No let's talk about B-Hop. Some of his recent performances have been **** poor bore fests. However, he seems to constantly revive himself. He took on a young strong champ in Kelly Pavlik that everyone thought was going to KO him and he whooped him. He just fought two, close, entertaining fights with Pascal, and now he's fighting Dawson . There's drama and intrigue in Hopkins' fights. Now let's talk about Mayweather. Mayweather is about 5'8", is not a big puncher, and walks around somewhere in the low 150's. He's not a big guy, he's not physically impossing. Pretty much everyone he fights, you can feel like they can possibly outmuscle him and outwork him to a victory. There are several fights that Mayweather can take that will people will be intrigued by. He's not some giant, with a huge punch, who decides to jab his way to victory over much smaller opposition.
Yes people let's go back to the days when the heavyweights were ruled by fat coke addicts and roided out ******
I'm an American, and Klitschko fights are rarely shown over here. If Americans are happy watching HW title fights via a web stream or in the middle of the afternoon, that's fine. Personally, I'm not happy with that. Some people are happy with more interested in a fighter's out the ring lifstyle than what they do in the ring. I'm not. I barely even get to see Wlad fight anymore. And when he does fight, you know exactly what's going to happen.
