Lets keep it 100. Floyd's resume doesnt or will never compare to a legitimate ATG.

Come on now, WE all know deep inside his resume isnt ATG material. Like what he always say hes a businessman and hes not here who to prove who the best is.

    1. Dubious retirement. Just when the welterweight division was hot and everyone is fighting everyone else.

    2. Lots of cherry picks.

    3. He isnt as small as what floyd fans want you to believe.

    4. Countless ducking.

    5. Multiple catchweights and cheating on scales and hiring of so called questionable trainers.

    6. Its not the money mayweather persona why his record is always in question rather the lack of it. He is no Ali, He is no SRL or hagler or SRR.

I like that this point gets made every week on the forum, it creates a comforting sense of the familiar for the crazies.

The die hard Floyd fans know it. They either just deny it or choose to ignore it.

    1. So Sugar Ray Robinson and Leonard both lose points for also retiring mid/late-career? Interesting opinion you have there.

    2. Cherry picks as in admitting to not taking a fight only to take it years later or admitting to taking fights at particular points of time? What, like what Leonard did for his biggest wins?

    3. Ali was one of the very biggest HW's ever to win the title when he did it. Does that minimize his accomplishments in the ring?

    4. I would ask to list who he ducked, but I've engaged in that already 728 times on this forum. It ends with the other person diverting responses and then eventually just not responding.

5a. Which of his fights were at a catchweight? How many?

5b. Which questionable trainers has he hired?

    6. Actually sounds like he has a lot in common with those guys you have listed.

    You're reasons suck OP.

Just say that he's never beat a prime ATG. It's that simple.

Neither has Marvin Hagler and the OP wanted to stress how Floyd would never be like Ali, Robinson, Leonard, and Hagler. So obviously he couldn't point that out without showing that Hagler (and other ATG's) also never beat a prime ATG.

The cherry picker doesn't deserve to have his name in the same sentence as Marvin Hagler

ATG is a subjective term. For some, it could mean the top 25, 50, 75, etc., ever in the history of the sport.

The only ATG's cuurently active would be Manny, Floyd, Roy Jones Jr and Bernard Hopkins.

So basically, what ATG fighters were available for him to fight say from around 1998-currently? There's a reason they're called ATG's, theyre' not too many around that are actively fighting.
