Blizzy is right, but Matthysse's jaw is still cracked by Garcia, anybody with a brain can see that. Even Ray Charles can.

Good on Matthysse that he won it, but the fact that he looked so utterly vulnerable makes me wonder how he is ever going to survive vs the real punchers of 40/47.

    The dude's jaw is glass..

Nobody hits harder then Molina and Garcia at 140 and he lasted easily...

i think lucas is perfect for 140 147 might be to much. i think kirkland is perfect at 154 160 might be to much. same with a few other fighters because of there style. but i think molina can just crack that hard and you know lucas gone get hit so it was bound to happen sooner or later. lucas proved he has a great chin
so he might do all right at 147. but he should fight the broners, provodnikov, lundy and few other guys at that weight.

A fight that I have watched over and over and over again, very exciting, fight of the year candidate...................Matthysse and Molina stole the night, Matthysse has stamina that can't be beated and his chin is solid, he is a natural 140 lbs. fighter...............I was very impressed with Matthysse and Molina showed that he is tough as nails...........

Kids on this forum are soooo ignorant. To think that because someone goes down, in a fight, that means they are spent...?!!:patsch

Lucas not only got up against a proven heavy hitter - ask Mickey Bey jr.- he got up and beat the **** out of Molina. :deal

Now, to compare his performance to that of Garcia, who picked a guy with a ko % near 20% as a comeback fight, to whom he obviously lost in a stacked situation, well, you just have to be a bit....dull:rofl

The only guy in the OP I'd favor over Lucas is Guerrero but he'd win a UD not a KO

Lucas weighed 158lbs... He is no "little" welterweight.

His jaw has been ruined by Garcia.

He wasn't almost KTFO at all. Most boxers would get beat by good fighters who are bigger than them, there are weight divisions for a reason. Ghost and Chino don't wreck him, they would be competitive fights.

No, Matthysse exhibited ring rust in the early rounds. It was evident in his body language and hesitation. However, once he got the rust shaken off and back into rhythm, he was destroying Molina. Blows that Molina landed after the two KD's had no more effect on Matthysse, and Molina became a punching bag. Albeit, a game punching bag. The fight really should have been stopped the round prior as Molina was absorbing too much punishment from a puncher like Matthysse, and looking physically drained. Also, the look on his face was telling. He needed help to get out of there.
